[quote="drshweta"]I was wondering how much and how long does D60 s influence linger and can we ever predict a boundary of events (karmic debts) with that.I already know that Rahu ketu axis tends to give hints about area of concerns bearing affliction from previous life , i was wondering , does that effect of Rahu lasts life long , is there any limit of years compartmentalising that effect.I know a horoscope with D 60 affliction on marital axis by rahu , and that shows up in real life too as expected, D1 also nullifies marital bliss to large extent . So does iit mean no marital bliss forever.....or at some point of time it will wear down...
How to assess when karmic debts are fulfilled?

In order for astrology and astrological charts to serve as descriptors it is easy to utilize the 'model' of karma because that then explains why good people suffer and why rogues relish success and riches. Only with this factor that has been described as karma and tied down to past deeds, does astrology and human experience begin to make sense and justifiable sense at that!
Without that, life remains random, chaotic and accidental. The 'innocent' child born with a genetic disorder with no cure remains a sad and meaningless accident of nature, or worse: an experiment. Decades ago, oh say before the 40's the same was the situation with infectious diseases. They were generally incurable and some got better but many more succumbed and died or were frightfully maimed. I have heard of an individual who had osteomyelitis and it severely curtailed his options in life, although he lived on. His nephew who was born just after penicillin was discovered in late 30s had a similar infection I was told but received the magical mould and survived the infection and went on to become a very successful doctor himself and a scientist. Even more intriguingly, though, the nephew is now dead but the older and maimed and limited uncle is still alive! Isn't longevity a mystery even if life may not be?
Anyway, back to the point -- if doctors and scientists had given up and hung up their free-will to fight the evil forces of nature back then, would modern medicine, regardless of its costs and inability to deal with some of the newer diseases (many caused and identified by the fact that the human body is living longer now than in earlier days, perhaps?) have come this far and helped -- despite all the flack it receives often unjustifiably because doctors are supposed to be Gods (just as some mistake Jyotishis to be -- equally so

)
And now back to astrology, where this post began -- I do not think that rahu ketu or shastiamsha or dwadashamsha (as sometimes has been implicated) and other vargas too are really specifically and exclusively connected to karma or poorvajanma influences etc, although claimed by many, far and wide. Even some jyotishis.
If our birth were a consequence of karma and past deeds (of free will and choice and personal decisions? Otherwise how shall the blame land on our souls? If all was fated and we were mere puppets!)then the entire horoscope, all vargas must experience and bear the signature of such past karma!
Kind of like the genetic code, the DNA signature! It is not limited just to the cells in our face which is how many recognize us, or the DNA in the ridges and whorls that constitute our UNIQUE finger-prints that has become the sine qua non of our identity or even the cells that form our unique iridal signature, or give us our unique voice signature as some detectives once told me -- but exists in ALL cells in our body, whether they are studied in the forensic identification procedure or not, for reasons of convenience and the fundamental adage of jyotish (when it comes to proof, sometimes enough is enough and anything more is purely academic!!).
Kind of like all the vargas, which must hold the signature of our karma (and Dharma) but not all get studied (or need to be...) in each forensic (kind of sort of?) astrological delineation and reading!
Hopefully, I am not rambling too much and out of context ...
