[quote="basab"]I am running the Jupiter sub-period which is the 3rd lord in the 11th house aspecting the 3rd house, Jupiter in transit is in the 3rd house from my lagna and there is also a double transit happening on the 3rd lord as Saturn is in Leo on the 3rd lord natal Jupiter and Jupiter from Sagittarius is aspecting the 3rd lord. When I had seen all this 3rd house connections, I had felt that something in regard to 3rd house matters would get highlighted in this period but strangely nothing like that has happened till now(it's been 6 months appx. that all these connections are there).I am really interested in knowing why nothing in terms of 3rd house matters took highlight in this period, would be glad if someone can explain.

Basab,
Did you give the nakshatra dispositor (KP principle but without Placidus and all that ...) a consideration and perhaps shift the ayanamsha a bit and so on? By the way, KN Rao has written some articles on Venus-Jupiter and Venus-Saturn dashas elaborating on some principles given in Uttarkalamrita which you may wish to look into if interested. KN Rao, by the way wrote the foreword to Sastry's translation of UttarKalamrita in 80s or 90s I think.
Interesting book!
I will now get out of your hair, for now...

Rohiniranjanji,
I do take the nakshatra dispostor into consideration as it sometimes give vital clues about the prospects of a dasha. Jupiter in my b-chart is in the nakshatra of Venus. So seeing it wholly, I am running the dasha of Venus the lagna lord in the 8th house, the antardasha of Jupiter the 6th lord in the 11th house(6th from 6th house) and in the nakshatra of Venus which is again the lagna lord in the 8th house. From Chandra lagna Jupiter again becomes the 6th lord. So plenty of 6th(disease) and 8th(chronic illness) connections in the Venus-Jupiter sub-period and I had some health problems in the Jupiter sub-period but interestingly it was more bad healthwise in the Rahu sub-period which doesn't make much connection with the 6th and 8th house. Interestingly I took interest in astrology just when the Jupiter sub-period started and I guess that is due to Jupiter being in the nakshatra of Venus the 8th lord in the 8th house(astrology). So have always been confused about these points and especially the 3rd house connection which has not shown any results as yet.
Didn't quite get your point about shifting the ayanamsha. Do you mean trying various ayanamshas? The software I use has Lahiri ayanamsha and K.N. Rao says it's the most accurate one.
Thanks for suggesting Uttarkalamrita. Yes K.N. Rao does talk about the Venus-Rahu, Venus-Jupiter and Venus-Saturn, I haven't read the articles yet but have read about them in some of his articles and also books. I guess Venus-Saturn being a difficult period is mentioned in Laghu Parashari as well.
I hope I will get to solve the mystery of the 3rd house connections, of course there are lots more to demystify in my b-chart but the 3rd house connection is the one I am trying to understand now.
Anyway, I guess I have bored you enough with my analysis of my birth chart, in which I am sure you will find faults aplenty.
Thanks for your help though.

Rohiniranjanji,
I am not sharp enough to understand your one-liners. would be glad if you make it a bit more clear.
