  Technically Retrogression of Planets is applicable only to those Planets which are beyond Earth i.e. the Outer Planets or Mars, Jupiter, Saturn, Uranus etc. as Earth is faster than these and they "APPARENTLY" appear as Retrograde or in other words "Moving Backwards" when Earth goes past them, but this is Not-At-All applicable to Mercury and Venus as Earth cannot move faster than these, but we can find vast topics on Mercury and Venus Retrogression.
Somebody Please explain Where and How, am I wrong? OR Is it that the Topic of Retrogression does not have anything to do with Planetary movements, which I don't think can be correct.
There is another feature of "Astangat Grah" i.e. When a Planet goes on to the other side AND in the Shade of Sun with Respect to Earth, any technical correlation?

"Asthangat", as per my little knowledge it is a (recharging) state of a planet. During this period (diff for each planet) the planet remains (appears to be ) stationary. This is the case when the planet get out of the retrogression and is to get into motion. So its the buffer / recharging state before the planet gets into normal motion after huge amount of  efforts put during retrograde motion.

Dear Asro Technically there is nothing like Retrograde motion, it is the Apparent motion between Earth and the outer Planets.
Secondly "Astangat" means the Position of a Planet when it is exactly behind the Sun with respect to Earth.
I need only technical clarification.
