With extreme temerity as I approach this forum and the Jyotish Scene generally bristling with MATH giants, engineers etc as far as I can see it, and other kinds of scientists, may I suggest, humbly, kind patrons to review things such as Baysian hypothesis (I believe it is based on a study of odds-ratios) or perhaps it is a theorem (little would I know :-((

there is a vast difference between vedic astro and western.Former takes ur time birth which is called ascendent or lagna to determine life time predictionsbased on which ur predictions are made.and the day on which u have born ie the star that means the moon standing on ur natal chart is regarded as rasi.iIn western astrology sun sgn is considered as base and it is called as ur zodic sign for which ur date of birth is taken as base. for example if u r born between 19th march to 19th april u will come under Aries ie ur sun sign is aries.
