I am really interested in knowing what kind of results a person can expect in the dasha of the 11th lord. Logically it should give the result of what it signifies like gains, recognition and status but being a functional malefic it should give negative results so how is such contradictory results possible in the same period and what kinds of negatives can be expected in that period?

Basab,

I don't wish to dampen your enthusiasm but generalizing like this can get to be misleading. Like any house 11th has its share of smoke and mirrors and different opinions. Some say it is good for material things (hence Choudhary calls it a benefic house in his systems approach). Any upachaya house is in fact good for material growth. And it makes sense, since 11th is a house of labh and aay (gains).

For chara lagnas, the 11th house represents the badhaksthana and so for these lagnas (1,4,7,10) if a planet is placed in 11th, it may signify delays and denials, but obviously this should not be generalized too widely or hastily.

In my experience, if you take all the classics and make a look up compendium of those 'readings' and then throw some charts at such an engine, you will soon see how ineffective these canned rules/phrases tend to be in practice. Surely there will be some hits but keep a sharp eye on the frequency and you will get the picture.

Anything that adversely affects one’s happiness is necessarily inimical and accordingly the 11th house justifiably becomes malefic. At the same time we cannot overlook that the 11th house also happens to be 12th from 12th house and6th from 6th house. Thus it works as antidote to loss (12th house) and debt (6th house).In this context 11th house will be termed as house of gain.
2. The 11th house is 9th from 3rd house, which is house of competition. Thus for success in any kind of competition the house that matters is 11th house. The price one has to pay for success in life is sacrifice of personal happiness and quiet environment. Accordingly 11th house stands for success in all worldly activities, but denotes death(8th)of happiness(4th).Therefore consider the 11th house as benefic when U are judging
Worldly success and achievements of the native and as malefic in the context of quiet environment, peace and happiness.
3. The 11th house is considered bad for chara lagans (Aries, Cancer, Libra and Capricorn), for which the 11th is badhakasthana.A planet posited in badhkasthana (11th house) / a planet aspected by badhaka lord (11th house for chara lagna) or a planet associated with badhaka lord (11th) will never give good results during its dasa.He presents obstructions and obstacles to the natives rise.
4. Dasa result of 11th house depends on planets posited in it, the planet aspecting it, and placement of lord of 11th house and its strength.

Interesting Shrikant! I too think this kind of approach of judging the matrix of houses gives very interesting insights and sometimes makes one scratch one's head too.

For example the 4th the sukh (peace contentment mother) is eighth from bhagya (father)! Interesting that mother should be in the 8th from father or mental peace should be in the 8th from bhagya!

And the same sukh sthan (4) should be in the 9th from the 8th house the house of obstruction, chronic illness and trouble and mrityu like experiences! How interesting! Won't you agree?
