Well, I agree that one should give the benefit of doubt to astrologers but I don't believe in any form of remedies whether it is stones or mantras. It's because I believe very strongly in the saying "Destiny is predestined". I don't think any remedy can change the course of destiny. Maybe I am wrong but that's what I believe.
You may be right Basab, but then what do you see as the purpose of astrology? Other than remaining an intellectual exercise? Maybe that is all it is!

Dear Dada and Basab,
Sorry, if I may intrude. I did anyway.
What is the PURPOSE of astrology? Or of God? Or the sayings of different religions? Of so many Gods of so many Religions? Do think, ponder and tell, with retrograde insights if possible,
I hope they are not INTELLIGENT Creation of WISE HUMANS to help the more unwise humans to better thir lives.
Of course, the mathematical Science called Astrology, could be different.

Rishi,
First of all, this "party" is being held in Swetha's home and you are one of the hosts

We are guests and therefore, the question of 'intrusion' on your part does not arise. Agreed? I have always believed that public discussions should always involve many many viewpoints and not just two people talking/discussing. They might as well converse via email in that case
RishiRahul=Thank you, but I always try to seek pardon, even before intruding in my home. + being instilled in the American way.
That aside, I sensed that Basab is of the opinion that everything is destined and will happen no matter what we do. Many hold that premise and without going into right or wrong, my dilemma is this. If indeed life is destined so rigidly and incontrovertably, then what is the point of astrology? It would not help at all. Why learn about the stars and planets and houses and discuss so much on so many forums when what will happen will happen. Such discussions are called by bengalis, "Galabaji" which when volatile individuals are involved soon turns into "Galagali" as I have seen on some less tolerant forums!
RishiRahul= Here we have a problem, or.. probably.. a beginning of finding a better solution/logic= The young and the restless and the wise and old. Not trying to state that the wisdom of the old is greater or vise versa, as they come from different generations.
RishiRahul(contd)=The freewill and destiny is a tough subject to ponder upon and guage in quantums.
Wish I/we, or even us had/have all the answers ? I can just share my belief.
Before that, a Question? We seek advise from our friends/advisors; then follow one of theirs to some extent. WHY? And not follow the others to some/probably lesser extent. WHY?
Destiny is in our charts... therefore we have to face it...face our charts... or...our lives.
The advise/people advising are the remedies.
The fate and free will are intermingled towards The WHOLE DESTINY that if we try to quantify them we would be more and more puzzled.
Mybe the efforts of the young and old could lead to wider understanding?
Jest aside, I have been remaining sensitive to this possibility also from very early days of my learning and though this is very preliminary at this time there is a faint possibility that shows up in charts that indicates that fate and free will are not equally effective in all charts or available to the nativity. Ergo, some remain capable of tapping into free-will a bit more than those whose experiences indicate otherwise. In other words neither viewpoints are perhaps wrong. What is wrong is they assume universality and apply their favourite view to everybody!
RishiRahul= Fate and Free will can never be equally effective... I think.
Such view points, I believe, are never wrong in their logic. The TRUTH is.... Never.
Of course I could be entirely wrong too, being human ...
This is to the best I could share frankly.

Rishibhai,
It is very interesting, even intriguing that when I read this message, the times read count was 666

I hope SaTAN is reading!
ABSOLUTELY! If destiny and free-will balance and are absolutely equal, it is NIRVANA! The two forces balance each other perfectly! Destiny is like sun and free-will is like the moon, the reflection of destiny in a sense!
When we are born in our last lifetime, ideally destiny and free-will shall be perfectly balanced! THEN from that point onwards, the nativity shall *try* to keep the two forces balanced until the final moment that gives FULL and TOTAL FREEDOM, MUKTI, NIRVANA!
Those who are better coordinated and have engaged in and mastered activities like skating on ice know what I mean! The ice wants you down, but the will keeps you up and moving!
Same as learning to ride a bicycle! Once mastered what is keeping you going, rolling and not falling or crashing? Fate or free-will? I know it is a silly example particularly amongst certain mindsets.
666 is the number of the MAN and not SATAN as some movies would want us to believe. It is not just a mirror image of Divinity, i.e., 999!
Last night's eclipse was about us getting between the LIGHT and its MIRROR!
The other eclipse is about the MIRROR getting between the LIGHT and us!
Someday I may write about that revelation that I gratefully received last night! The sky was so CLEAR and BEAUTIFUL and the surroundings SO COLD and yet so WARM!
