It has been my experience that Jupiter sub-period in major period of venus and vice-versa generally  gives catastrophic results,particularly if any one of the two is lord of 6th or 8th house.Dear members,kindly share your views to either validate or invalidate this premise.

My Jupiter and Venus are 6 8th. to each other. The Jupiter dasa, Venus antar was very lucrative, but at the end there was a big loss. In total the gains were much more.

Sad to hear that, Rishi bhai. Only if you are absolutely comfortable in sharing this, was your focus during that period more on the venus perspective or the jupiter perspective? From the point of view of their intrinsic viewpoints based on inherent nature or horoscope specific roles.

I have always found the Kuch-Devyani allegory very intriguing in the devguru-asurguru story we were raised listening to! Particularly the sanjivani vidyaa context!

Why must the immortal Devas have to (knowingly) sacrifice their sons and send them far away to learn some vidya that could only be of interest to a successful human being, on the roll -- as they say! But not to a DEVA!

I try to be as transparent, even about sharing such things.

During this period it is obvious that Venusian interests will try to shows its face more in comparison. It did and I did not try to restrict it.

Rethinking the situation, I can say that I followed the advice of a native who was ruled by Venusian interests influenced by Ketu(My Venus and Ketu are conjunct), though my intuition told me to do otherwise, but I felt practically that his experience was more in the regard.

Much appreciated, Rishi bhai. I am just wondering if the shadashtaka between venus and jupiter who are in guna, enemies (devguru and asurguru -- one a vegetarian brahmin, the other not averse to more demonic tastes etc), was what indicated the warning signal (intuitive feeling)? Had the two been more mutually functionally beneficially placed (conjunction, trine etc) then perhaps that intuitive warning would have been blunted or even obtunded? Makes sense? This is assuming of course that venus and jupiter are equally strong in the scenario.

Anyway, the above is hypothetical and academic ... as discussions go.
