Why is Venus-Jupiter dasha considered inauspicious?  It is often observed that the Venus-Jupiter dasha (or Jupiter-Venus dasha) has devastating effect on the native. What are the reasons for this?

Are you sure you are talking about Venus Jupiter or Venus Saturn?

Yes Sir, I am sure I am talking about Venus-Jupiter dasha. One astrologer after looking at my chart told me that it is practically experienced that Venus-Jupiter dasha brings devastating effects on the native. This opinion was confirmed by many others. Well, I am currently running this dasha right now and I can literally feel the devastating effects. But my next dasha - Venus-Saturn dasha has been predicted to be good. Well, I feel this could be Ascent specific. I am of Scorpio ascent with Jup in Ascent and Venus in 7th house and Saturn in 12th house which is owned by Venus.

Actually I just want to know if this fact about Ven-Jup Dasha was true in general or specific to the one's ascent or specific to an individual based on planetary placements in his chart (as in my case!!).

The reason is that Venus in neutral to Jupiter,while Jupiter is an enemy of Venus. So they do not have a friendly relation.

Which means Venus is tolerant of Jupiter while Jupiter is not so.

Again Jupiter is the Guru of the devas and Venus is the Guru of the asuras. So both are Gurus but of opposite poles.

Venus therefore is fond of the sensual luxuries of life and Jupiter of the wisdom of life. But both are natural benefics and rule over finance in many ways.

That is why during their dasa antardasas rhere could be problems, unless they have good tatkalik relations. One will note that the 2 signs of Venus and Jupiter are 3/11 and 6/8 to each other..... One being good and the other bad.

Their combinations are known to give much good also, but unless the good is dealth with proper wsdom the later effects may not be very happy ones.

Like Rahulji, I had heard about the bad effects of Venus-Saturn and Saturn-Venus. But, I heard the bad effects would be if Saturn is exalted or very strong.

For Jupiter-Venus, Rahulji, if we just take the relationship into consideration, then why does Venus-Saturn turn out to be bad, especially when both are the best of the friends to each other?
