Dear Rohiniji,

Please answer my doubts mentioned below:

* Question on what happens if lord of a house is functional malefic/benefic

Given that it is an accepted principle that:
"Significance of a house manifests through the lord of the house as
one of the factors", how does this change, when the lord is functional
benefic/malefic?

If lord of a house is a functional malefic does it signify bad for the
things specified by the house?
Given that functional benefic signifies good for things specified by
the house, can we say that:
1. Good if dustana lord is malefic
2. Good if other house lords are benefic

* Question on houses signifying wrt other house.
6th house signifies enemies. Now 5th house is 12th (loss) from 6th:
Does this mean loss of enemies OR loss to enemies.
Which is right interpretation?
Similary 4th house is 11th (win) from 6th: Does this mean win of enemies or win over enemies.

Regards
Kiran

Rohiniji,

I have bought the following books:
Vedic Astrology by PVR rao : good book for fundamentals but no clues on how to analyze D-1 also
how to judge horoscope vol1 and 2 (B v raman): worst book - every planet can give fruit for longevity/marriage as per him - and is good for post mortem only

I found the answers to my question - I am a member of the learning group in this forum taught by learned Vivekji and Rishirahulji

If you have already found the answers, then why were you asking those questions again :-)

If you read PVR, he mentions that all vargas must be studied using the same rules and that is why BPHS describes/enumerates the vargas and then moves on to describing the rules (which apply to the vargas).

Often people tend to think of rashi as a stand alone chart but in reality it is one of the sixteen vargas!

I agree that no book is complete or one that will serve each individual's purpose. I am happy for you that you found your place of learning :-)
