Govardhant ji,
Let us take that all the planets are direct. Then Mercury is in 'Vartaman' ithasala yoga.
So there is ithasala between the 3rd, 6th. lord.... and ......1st, 8th. lord. But kamboola yoga between them too (moon involved). Also Venus is involved in ithasala with moon, indirectly with mars and mercury ( moon is translating the light).
I would it call it very good ithasala between Mars and Mercury.. bringing divine gifts.
It depends upon what the nature of question is/ the area one is looking at. In short it is favorable sambandha between Mercury and Mars.
In natal charts it could show favorable short journeys for the native; favorable sambandh between maternal relatives, unfavorable long journeys; favorable relations with the spouse..the binding fator being home life.......> Reply being given strictly from ithasala factors. Other positions could alter results here and there.
The application of ithasala is very logical, helping one to see more between apparent results. The positions of the nodes can change results considerably.
Hope this was helpful.

When one makes an effort to study a combination and reply, he expects a reply as a gesture.

Dear Rishiji
According to Sri B V Raman, nodes do not play any part in the Ithasala yoga. Then how do you says nodes play a part.
