Silly or not, I would recommend to never surrender conditionally! Planned surrender is dangerous because that implies that mercury is active and still in control! And the surrender then becomes an "act", a 'game' and games only last as long as the players keep trying! As soon as one of them wins, the game is over! Won't you agree, Tourbi?

Toes are about the 12th house! That is where much of mystery hides, our feet that we try so hard and in so many ways to keep covered, and the house that is misunderstood when it comes to sleep and sleeping, and some say has also to do with Moksha, the ultimate relief. Then I'm ok, no planned surrenders for me. Not one.  I do them as the Spirit moves, so to speak. I have also taken my surrendering deliberately.  No joking around.

I am not scared of sun, dear Tourbi! I have been waking up to him for now about as many sunrises as you have, unless you have been hiding your age on this forum!

Without SUN, this Maya of Astrology would never have come to BE! Imagine a world without SUN?

From the sounds of it, presumptive though it may sound, you may have met the wrong people who fear your sun in the 12th. Jyotishis like to keep the malefics and kruras in the hidden houses, 6-8-12!

It's ok.  The people who were afraid of it were new to Astrology and thought it was scary.  I think they were scared of what they didn't understand.  Sweet mysteries of life. I never understood their misunderstanding.  Some argued with me that my Sun couldn't be in the 12th house and have the same sign as my Ascendant.  As I say, they were learning.  
I am not very knowledgeable myself. Worked in a New Age bookstore, owned by an astrologer.
