Especially how to divide the houses.... You say tht one needn't be mathematically precise - though my VIRGO mind (I have changed, you see....!!) cries out loud, I have decided to go by wht you say from 40 yrs of Jyotish.

You say that whatever it is, the lord of the 6th, 8th and 12th are to be considered malefic. Then, is Mars that's my Lagnadhipathi, to be considered at least partly malefic, because it rules the 8th...?

According to BPHS, Mars for Aries will give benefic effects though not wholly, and will only help other benefics. In what sense, should I take this...?

So that means, for an Aries chart, only the Sun and Jupiter are considered Benefic...? There is no mention of what the Moon is for aries. Please expostulate on this for me...? The rest are proven Malefics, except of course weak Mercury.

Life's so unfair to Aries people. Only 2 benefics...? Sigh...!

Most of us have many personal planets (plural) and not ONE personal planet (!). There are choices available and flexible options to change along the way!

Allow me to presume that you are taking astrology and life itself as a black and white reality! Where malefics and benefics are herded like cattle and confined to their isolated quarters for never shall the twain meet!

A child is accident prone and tends to not consider his options before rushing ahead.

His parent at times restricts the child and the child obviously hates that, to the extent that he begins to consider the parent as an enemy, a bully, a menace!

Over the years, many many years, the child grows up and one day becomes a parent. The first time he holds his child firmly but still out of love to prevent the child from getting hurt, he connects with his parent and understands that his parent was not a malefic, really!

Growing up is not optional or a voluntary choice (take it or not!)! It is a natural progression, and will happen,  no matter how long it takes!

Since you probably have read what I have written about Saturn and his blessings, I am emboldened to write the above words for your consideration.

I indeed went through Saturn and his blessings with utmost care.....! For, even this one month of Saturn in 8 has been tough for me....! Indeed i have had many an obstacle where originally there was none...!

well, let that be. Man is born free, but everywhere he is in chains.... That's only part of the story. Man is in chains, only because he himself desires it, that is the full story, isn't it, Rohiniji....! Saturn will show us what we need to, to free ourselves, in his own way. I hope so, anyway...!

Well, as a novice I must admit that it is simpler for me to begin that way.... I do know that as time passes and i get more wise in travelling down this path, it won't be that simple. By then, I hope to have achieved that necessary frame of mind to be able to think more esoterically and in terms of shades of grey...!

And, old habits die hard, don't they...? For yrs and yrs i have tried to think of myself as Mercury - ruled. Sometimes the fact that Gemini is my navamsa lagna may  have reinforced that i'm indeed so. But over time I have come to realize that I'm more defined by Mars, and my arudha lagna, Leo. I have got connected to TWO of the tools, you mentioned, and hope to get connected with all of them in due course of time...!!
