Would like to know how do we calculate arudhra lagna ? what is the importance and how it supports the Lagna, moon   sign and sun sign ?

first of all it is not arudhra lagna but arudha lagna, it s a term used in gemini astrology (a branch of vedic astrology, propounded by  maharishi Gemini) and is as important as the lagna itself.

The number of signs the lagna lord is ahead of the lagna, are to be counted from where it is situated and the the sign so arrived is the arudha lagna.

for example: suppose lagna is gemini and mercury is situated in aquarius (9th house), now as aquarius is 9 signs ahead of gemini, count 9 signs from aquarius (taking it as one) we arrive at the sign libra, so in this case the libra is the arudha lagna.

It is Jaimini, not Gemini.

Arudha lagna is, rigghtly said:=The number of signs the lagna lord is ahead of the lagna, are to be counted from where it is situated and the the sign so arrived is the arudha lagna.

EXCEPTION: If the arudha lagna due to the above calculation falls in the lagna or 7th. house then the 10th. rasi from the lagna or 10th, respectively is the Arudha lagna.
