I would venture to suggest that while Moon does play a significant role in the mutual compatibility of the charts, there is much more to it than merely the moon.
Lagna, Sun can contribute perhaps more significant indicators in locating the bonds, karmik and otherwise which bring together, supplement and complement the charts.
Further, it is definitely more than worthwhile to read the charakaraka associations.
Whether the charakaraka points get triggered or not would remain a question.
The experiences which transcend mere conscious awareness, the Soul, has to go beyond mere natal Moon placements. I would also go on to add that while the Male charts' get supplemented by Moon , it is not always so in the  female charts.
Waiting for more, which has to come sooner or later.

Could explain the method of Charakaraka points getting trigerred or not?
How does ones charakarak points get trigerred by the others charakaraka point planets?

Rishiji,
I do not have many answers, however, I have observed that many a charts are transparent as far as charkarakas go.  
In other charts the charkarakas do not respond as easily. It is just an observation. Therefore, there could be a triggering point or mechanism which needs to be understood. Lots of exploration to do in this area.
One remarkable illustration, I found was a chart wherein the Lagna of one chart coincided with the darakaraka of the other chart, the darakaraka in exaltation transit brought them together.

As Rohiniranjanji observes this is an area on which more attention should be paid to. But then, we must wait for more as he has assured so very kindly!

I still do not understand how a charakaraka piont can get trigerred by other charakaraka point planets. I do not understand what you are meaning here.

Sometimes a charakarak can replace the other due to less than a degree differences between 2 charakaraks..........possibly that is why the results fail to happen.

But do make your statement clear to me so that I understand what you mean.
