Dear Votive,
I hope no one minds my truncating the quoted thread. As all of you perhaps know, I get distracted easily :-(
Firstly, thanks for reminding me of a wonderful and ancient even primal word, and such a beautiful word (there is indeed something about beauty and the 2nd house -- the home of the words! But I digress again!!)! The company of souls who have a breadth of experience (as is obvious if we were only collectively 'perspicacious', I presume) is indeed uplifting.
Before this thread gets jailed or thrown in the dungeon, whatever The-Powers-That-Be currently call the NULL-ZONE <sigh!> I better get focused (perspica... OOPS!) again.
Yes an emphatic YES! Astrology loses its reason for being, once 'relativity' is taken out of its contextual framework. Desh, Kaal, Patra, in case some reader is wondering what I am talking about!
On this day which for me forever will be Big Brother's Day (we in North America have Father's Day, Mother's day but no Big Brother's day! So August the 8th would forever be for me Big Brother's Day personally (and that is where relativity comes into play again! The BBD for someone else may be a different date, if you catch my drift)
All this meaningless drivel aside (relatively speaking, for different readers...), I think you have described and defined something that may be crucial! The way you tuned-into the karakas as not friends or foes, but as descriptors or actors in the drama which we all are watching and experiencing and which some would say is not astrology, but our individual life-scripts-was very REAListic!
Beautiful!
And Thanks! And what timing!!
RR
[quote="Votive"]Sir,
You are perspicacious indeed!
Despite the confusion I created you brought in the usual clarity. Yes, that is what is the observation, how consistent it can be I do not know. Maybe the discerning readers and accomplished Jyotishas would know better.
Charakarakas, I agree could be the conduits or portals, as very rightly pointed out by you, to connect different time realms. However, their momentary or fleeting nature could be a relative thing, they may be "chara" for the Soul or the lifeforce or the Atman or the conscious which transcends time with huge strides of human experience but, consider, maybe, for this life period they would be more sthira and almost a guiding tool to the Atmakaraka for the entire lifeperiod.
And if I may now speculate, for I cant prove it, when the Karmik Path in a life is in the general direction where the Atmakaraka wants it to, all charakarakas get activated and shine as beacons to illuminate the path in darkness.
Finally, if I may,the effort in creating double brackets itself and that too square ones not round mind you or irregular but square ones exhibits a metculous approach towards your readers. I am afraid, some of us who are less industrious may not be able to match the high standards set but will certainly give it a try.
