Hi,
Do you say these after reading astrology?
You could join the classes of vedic astrology at this forum.

Hi Rishi Rahul ji,
I've studied a bit of astrology, which is why I am asking. The word 'gana' means class, so why do they classify certain souls as deva, asura etc.? It's got to do with the nakshatra. So I am wondering whether gana, varna are only relevant to marriage, or they represent the intrinsic nature of the native's soul. I think it's a reasonable q, don't you? |
Hello,
I wonder if you ever tried to find out this by learning or trying to learn astrology by even trying to find out this by reading astrology literature?
There are many determinants to check out on marriage
compatibilty; one of them is the gana milan.
Our hindu mythology caterogises the nature of the Gods(Devgan), humans(naragan) and devils(rakshagan) differently and attributed them different natures accordingly. The satisfaction of the heart in their present life.
As per what I feel Devgans are not bothered about petty things, are generally 'bholabhala'. Earthly pleasures (though important in the present age, Kaliyuga), overshadowed, desiring quality. They would gain the best satisfaction through these ends.
To Rakshagans the underlying achievement in life are through earthly pleasures like good living, good food, etc. desiring quantity. They cannot deny the desire for these.
While naragans desire to work hard without letting the qualities of the other two ganas effect them too much.
Whatever is done is to achieve the purification of soul; but again this is not important for the present life of the soul, but is important for the marriage in their present life.
In the present life the above is the attitude adopted for soul purification.
So in the present life this gan milan is important. Why, because the basic present necessities of present life are important for marriage in the present life. Shows the mental attitude.
I hope it is somewhat clear?
