What about the pakshabala heen status of moon? A few days before amavasya!

What is the significance of the sun  in vedic astrology?   I know that the 2 important are   ascendent  and moon  but what does the sun sign represent.
My sun sign in vedic astro is  Aries.

Dear Astroman,

Hardly the spokesperson ever claimed or recognized for Jyotish (Thank God for I do choose to leave my options OPEN!), I post my 2 cents anyway!

I do not see Jyotish as being different from Astrology and all I have ever spoken about or favoured or endorsed or lived and died by so far! astrology!

So, take it with a pinch of salt what I say or endorse since it may not be something accepted by mainstream Jyotish or jyotishis who are self-proclaimed DEANS of the Ivy League or ISO of astrology!

Those disclaimers aside --
Sun is considered as the karaka or significator of SELF or soul.

SELF is what most of us humans get <close to>  SOUL!

Looked at straight and even, the body, mind and soul are what is depicted by the sudarshana chart in BPHS, and this ensues from my personal understanding!

These little fights and poutings about this or that form of astrology, mine or yours remind me of reasons why in the KARMIC scheme of things Europeans including British were SENT to India to wake indians up to get our act together through a LIBRA who had to face personal humiliation before he could connect to the humiliation that his motherland was experiencing and his brothers and sisters!

Maybe many religious types would disagree or even attack me or my ideology but as Krishna PROMISED: YADA YADA HE DHARMASYA GLANIRBHAVATEY BHARATEY ...


HE has always been true to HIS promise if you would stop complaining and just LOOK! ...
