What is this vedic astrology, hindu astrology, eastern astrology??

JYOTISH is so much more direct, meaningful and REAL! Don't you agree???

Jyotish is indeed much more meaningful for it brings that illumination which allows us to choose the path.
I suppose a decade ago, very few non-Indians would understand the liberal or literal meaning of Jyotish, so these alternative words sprang up. But timeless as  Jyotish is, it is reasserting its actual strength and meaning.
I may be pardoned for being so elementary,for I am at the kindergarten  level .......

These names were introduced by Indian astrologers who were using quite a few 'sanskrit' terms which probably created more confusion than if the proper term 'Jyotish' were used!

For instance navamsha was never termed novile or nonile by these indian astrologers when they talked to their western readers/audiences (lectures and speeches were given by Indian teachers as well). And even the term 'Dwad' accepted in western astrology for a few decades even prior to the introduction of jyotish into USA by BV Raman -- represented what we know as dwadashamsha (12th harmonic).
