It must be an honor to be associated with a publication as glorious as The Astrological Magazine. I am guessing this is not the first article written by you to be published in The Astrological Magazine.
The article was making a very interesting read but obviously it was just a preview. I was wondering if it is possibly for you to post it here on the forum.

i m a regular reader of this superb and authorative magzine... but i find it s lacking in one thing only and that is they dont publish various horoscopes in north indian style as well.. i find it tedius to draw all the horscopes in north indian style before reading it.. but i guess these ppl do it for the want of printing space..
however they can increase the pages and the matter and i wont mind paying even rs 100 per month

Yes Rajeev, you are right that A.M. requires authors to submit charts using the square format. It is actually very easy to get used to the square format. I would compare it to the same effort when one changes from using a mouse to a glidepoint pad on laptops. A few days of frustration and uncertainty but the [url=http://www.mysticboard.com/mb-free-brain-teasers]brain[/url] quickly picks up the new pattern.

Long ago when I wrote an astrology program in BASIC, I found it a lot easier to program the graphic display for the south indian format as opposed to the north indian format. There were no jyotish programs avaialable to me back then in early 80s, so I had to settle for programming the square chart and due to this interesting reason, I had to retrain myself in using south indian chart.

Magazine production costs being what they are, and subscriptions being overall meagre for any astrological magazine I do not blame AM or EST or other magazines for keeping the page count where it is. The solution if of course to not have so many magazines, but to consolidate and publish fewer but high quality magazines with more pages etc. Do you think that will ever be possible? Not a chance!!
