SUN SIGN.: The earth revolves round the sun and completes it revolution in 1 year. And there are 12 rashis or sign through which it is divided. Hence sun remains in one sign for around 30 days. During the birth, placement of sun in a particular sign is known as sun sign.
MOON SIGN: Moon is the satellite of earth and completes its revolution around the earth within 30 days or one month. There are 12 signs in total which in vedic astrology is rashis. Hence moon remains in one rashi for around two and half days. thje position of moon in a particular sign, during birth is known as MOON SIGN.
