Remember that there is a difference in writing the dates as per the british system (normally followed in India) and the American system.
This should be kept in mind by everyone posting their data on the forum as well as those giving a reading.
It is better to mention the month in words (like September in your case).
People in India will take your month to be December.



I got the Lagna to be Gemini (Mithuna). I think there is day light saving.

Months are not different, it is the way dates are written that is different.
In India the date is written first then the month followed by the year.

you wrote the date as 9-12-1985

in India we write th same as 12-9-1985.

in words it would be twelvth of September ninteen hundred and eighty five. This leaves no room for ambiguity.

But if it is not known to some poor jyotish in India calculates your chart and goes on to interpret it, he is in for a lot of trouble.

As far as the software i use i use Jagannath hora, the best and free too.

Confirm that there was daylight saving when you were born.
