Does our horsocope signify our spiritual tendencies?? i was really impressed by the medical diagnosis...so this thought came to my mind.

Well yes, I have read some horoscopes where ppl get spiritual, &/or love others only for spiritual reasons. Beacuse of the placement of the planets.

Dear all,

I want to add on how to find Spirituality related issues in Native’s Planetary Positions.
But for this we need to see, the basic aspects of Spirituality and related Planets in Horoscope.

1. ATMA – The base of everything. In Horoscope we calculate Sun as karaka of ATMA, FATHER and CARRIER mainly. Position of Sun is very crucial in Spirituality.

2. MIND – The base of Spiritual Development. In Horoscope we calculate Moon as karaka of MIND and MOTHER mainly. It controls all Emotions/Feelings/Desires.

What Yog Maharishi PATANJALI said is very true, “VRITTI NIRODHASYA MEKA CHITTA SAMAHITA (Stopping Desires (Material), Attention to Material Subjects makes Chitta (Conscious = (Mind + Intellect + Aham (Self Existence aka Ego)) Stable.

3. GURU – For Spiritual Development, Guru is very important. In Horoscope, position of JUPITER is important to see EDUCATION, MARRIAGE, CHILDREN, GENERAL WELLBEING, and WISDOM ETC. Here it gives Native a Guru who can show him the path of Moksha.
There is a saying about Guru, “MOTHER GIVES BIRTH ONCE AND MAKES US ELIGIBLE TO LIVE IN THIS WORLD, BUT GURU WILL TEACH YOU THAT KNOWLEDGE WHICH WILL BE USEFUL FOR ALL COMING LIVES TILL MOKSHA (Release from Cycle of Births/Deaths)”

4. EFFORTS – Since Spiritual Progress is not only depend on above said Planets but also depend on Other Planets also.

MARS – Karaka of ENERGY, ABSTAINANCE, and HEALTH etc.
SATURN – Karaka of EFFORTS, PATIENCE, SIDDHI and MANTRA YOG etc.
VENUS – Karaka of SEMEN (OJ/TEJ), LOVE AND MANTRA YOG etc.
RAHU – Karaka of KNOWLEDGE of PAST LIVES, VIRAKTI (SANYAS BHAV) etc.
KETU – Karaka of VIRAKTI (SANYAS BHAV), MOKSHA PRAPTI, REINCARNETION etc.



General Planets/Planetary Combinations and their Effects on Spirituality.

1. Only Sun in Ascendant (of which it is Karaka also) can make Native to follow path of Spirituality. Here Sun directly sees 7th House causing Bramhachari Yog. If Native gets married due to pressure of family, He/She will be reluctant to follow Marriage Rules (Particularly Sex). (It should get support from Jupiter and Mars)

2. Sun with Rahu, though it is “Grahan Yoga” is very Powerful Combination in Spiritual Field. If placed in Kendra, this combination surely turns ON the Spirituality BUTTON in Native’s life. The Native will get some success (Siddhis / Darshan of God) depending on other Planetary Situations. Sun with Rahu in Kendra (1, 4,7,10 house) or in 1-4, 1-7, 1-10 combination show powerful growth in Spiritual field.
3. Sun and Saturn in Kendra, above said situation makes Native believe in Karma followed by complete worship to God (In general reading, this is Daridrya (Poverty) Yoga). This is a Bramhachari Yog.

4. Sun and Mercury are united (Budha-Aditya Yog) in Kendra, and well supported by Jupiter/Saturn or both in 1-5-9 combination or 1-5 combination makes Native read and follow ancient Sciences leading to Spiritual Progress. Here, Mercury makes Native read, experience and gain Knowledge.

5. Sun and Jupiter in Fire (Aries, Leo and Sagittarius) /Air (Gemini, Libra and Aquarius) Signs and sitting in Kendra lead Native to Spirituality. Jupiter in particular, in its Exalted Sign Cancer gives same effect. Jupiter in Libra gives similar effect. Sun and Jupiter in 1-5-9 or 1-11 combination works same way.

6. Lord of Fifth House is in Kendra supported by Sun/Jupiter leads Native to path of Spirituality. Success depends on strengths of other planets.

7. Strong/Exalted Mars (in Aries, Gemini, Leo, Sagittarius and Capricorn) in 7th House makes Native Bramhachari. If Saturn/Rahu or both in Kendra then Native surely becomes a Saint.

8. Strong Ketu (in Aries, Scorpio, Sagittarius and Pisces) if placed in 8, 9 or 12 th House gives Native Moksha Yog. Here, by birth itself Native shows Spiritual Inclination and Progress day by day. He/She gets Guru at tender age and follow Guidelines of Spirituality.

9. Exalted Venus (in Libra/Pisces) and Exalted Jupiter (Cancer, Libra or Pisces) if they are in Union or apart in Kendra (1, 4, 7, 10) in 1-5-9 combination show path of Spirituality to Native. Here Support from Sun/Rahu is needed.

10. Mercury and Venus in Union makes a good Artist Combination but if Saturn is in 1-5-9 Combination with this Union then it makes a good Seer Combination.

11. Neptune in Water Sign (Cancer, Scorpio or Pisces) if placed in 8th, 9th or 12th House then it will surely give some Spiritual Experiences to Native. (More Research is needed for new planets.)

12. If Planets like Mars, Saturn, Sun, Rahu are in Strong 2nd and 7th House or 7th and 12th House, then Native becomes Sanyasi due to Family Problems or Loss of Spouse. The Native may remain unmarried throughout life.

13. If Moon and Jupiter both are in Kendra, United or in different Signs makes Native Strong Follower of God. This is also called “GAJ-KESARI” Yoga. Here native gets well education and becomes Wealthy.


General Rules

1. Find the basics of Spirituality in 5th, 8th, 9th and 12th House.

2. Look for Jupiter-Sun or Sun-Rahu Combination.

3. Search for Mars-Saturn, Mars-Rahu and Saturn-Rahu combinations.

4. Kendra Bhava Combinations, particularly of Strong Planets like Sun, Rahu, Saturn, Mars, and Jupiter etc.

5. Look for Ketu, its associations in 8th, 9th, 12th Houses. Also see Guru-Ketu Combinations.


I hope this is enough information about Spiritual Yogas. My advice to all (I mean budding Astrologers) is that, Follow “GAYATRI MANTRA” or any Guru Mantra (Given by your Guru), you will see your own progress in Astrology.
