To talk so much of the singularity of rh in a given house or sign can only give an incomplete story of what it offers. Rh and Kt cannot be separate from each other in their effects. They give an essential balance to what they represent. As such, you get better results when you read 'them' as a single 'nodal axis'. So instead of wondering the effect of rh1 (Rahu in the 1st bhava), you want to tell yourself that this subject "...was born on the nodal axis itself!... right on the 1/7 meridian." What this would mean is that this meridian (the 1st/7th houses) will be his 'prime' channels for the resolution of his unfinished karmic agenda in this life even though such energies will express themselves through all his horoscopic configurations. This becomes even more significant when other planets sit along with either rh and kt, or even when the nodal axis falls on the 4/10 kendra bhavas. Planets in association with rh bring new variables from 'outside' that he has to integrate with according to the nature of that planet, and planets in association with kt bring variables that he must contend with, outgrow and master.

Sani vat Rahu and Kuja vat Kethu is a simplistic formula that must be categorized at best under the assumed karakattwa effects of these chahya grahas. I placed this aside after very many years. It is important to recognize rh and kt as phenomenon of the moon and that their functions are auxiliary to the main agendas of bonafide grahas. Taking off from here, you will observe even more replicable results when you use the 'associate' principle with these nodes. Even the dispositor principle does not produce as observable results compared to 'associates'. Try the following simple approach:

Note the planets in close proximity with rh AND kt. Understand the provisions and functional effects they would offer in their predictions. These effects, will be 'offered' by rh or kt during their periods in the dasa progressions or gocharas. Similarly, at the nakshatra level, offered by nakshatras owned by rh and kt. A common trait featured by these chahya entities is that most of the variables are from 'hidden' or unexpected directions or sources.

I invite everyone to try this with your own horoscopes or others that you are intimately tracking, and make your own observations. It will be a refreshing and exciting track to work on. I use this so often in my professional astrological consultation,  and so often stun the client with what is happening to him currently if he's running a rh or kt bhukti, or a bhukti loard associated with rh or kt. My senior students use this professionally as well throughout the country and through the years, they have indicated this as a solid and proven technique. And it's so simply done. To produce results by way of actual collective application is the acid test to any theory. So have a go with this method of readng the rh and kt effects. It really is simple. I have not tried anything else that is so simple and capable of producing relicable results with the nodes.

Tensed? This is the wrong attitude that the nay-sayers of astrology are up against. This is also the reason that some religions urge their followers not to use astrology. There is a way to turn around this fear: knowledge and right action.

Your mn position makes you a nodal case. With rh, that would not be as self-defeating as it would be if it was with kt. This life will give you more experiences that are more related to your older karmic issues to resolve rather than recent ones. It would appear that events will happen TO you rather than 'because' of you, but this is only apparent because the causatives are from a pool beyond this current life.

The way to resolve this better, is to understand that you are now undergoing the effects of ripples and waves of 'earlier choices'. You now must work hard at understanding the 'reason' behind the 'mechanics' of such causes. For instance, difficulties in relationships, personal and professional, will be a strong feature in your dealings. You now need to work NOT so much on the personalities in the game, but on your role in the positive growth and gratification that such relationships have to mutuality offer. Do not neglect yourself, but do not seek gratification at the expense of others own joys.

The argument of whether this is good or bad continues to reveal man's focus on his well-being and self-fulfillment. There is no good or bad; just your vital and personal effectiveness in handling mutuality for collective evolution. How are you playing the game? So yes, by principle of your axial birth, I would say that your life will be fraught with mighty challenges, and some will be distasteful. Such births normally need you to wade through the drama. But your better self-management of situations can make you attain supreme intelligence that will set you free from major impediments fo the future. People outside of your community, race or kind, will become strong features for your betterment. Foreign companies and places can give you growth advantages not immediately obvious.
