I wish to report what I believe is an ongoing problem with the Dream Interpretation forum. As there are no moderators currently allocated to the forum in question, I understand that only site administrators can delete these duplicates and triplicates etc.

No posts exist for this topic?????????????

Is there some accumulating problem with the forum database, or is it the respective user's internet connection which is at fault in each case?

Sometimes the duplicates occur because the new members click submit a couple of times instead of the usual once.
Misstyam account is related back to her cp or using the draft method but it still coming into the database.
The dream section does require a mod and when Rhutobello and Swetha get around to it i'm sure they shall allocate one now to help keep the current posts in order etc.

Have cleaned....normally I try to do this when I come and run a report on new post.....but it might have slipped my "mind" or I was to speedy.

I agree that double post and more is no fun at all...might I suggest to report them "as spam" but at the same time post "reported" so not another one report the other post.

as for "no post exist for this topic"....I think this is a setting they have done when they register....or draft posting.
I have seen it on some members....but then it is on all their post....and I have never seen it on members who have posted normal....so I don't think it is a bug.
We have on thread though....if a thread have more then 2 pages and you hit page 2 and it comes up with "no topic" try to go to the page before and then you find all the post.
Again a bug in forum software that we haven't been able to fix.....it might be this that make those other missing post too.....but then one should believe it would happen to me now and then

Thanking you sincerely for your quick response about this. I wish to emphasise however that double and triple posts are not always either the fault of the software, or of the relatively inexperienced member concerned.

I have experienced a similar problem on other websites who use the same forum software as you do here (where I fortunately had moderator privileges and could therefore delete excess postings) and the response came back that the page could not be found. To make even matters worse the back button on my web browser (Firefox) was greyed out or disabled (so your suggestion would not work), and the only sensible thing to do seemed to be to repeatedly push the reload button, to see whether this would eventually resolve the problem.

It didn't!!

My own current standing record for multiple postings as of this moment is SIX, and I had already been posting to forums such as this one over several years (although I do not claim to be an expert either).

I just hope that some of your newer members may take some comfort in knowing that these problems do not always stem from them being inexperienced, or doing something wrong. They are almost I believe inevitable when we are dealing with the highly imperfect means of communication called the internet?

Computer rage is surely a sign of the times, and not about to go away very soon!
