Hello Ridge
Thank you for letting me choose the question for you, but I could not deviate too much from your actual wish and, therefore, here it goes.
What are the potentials/insights for Ridge in love and romance for the foreseeable future? What possible obstacles and opportunities may lie ahead?
I am using the Rider Waite deck.
Before I picked the cards, I got a feeling that socially you are not a hermit and that you have a few friends around you with whom you spend time. I get the feeling of three people around you and they give me the female energy. There is plenty of laughter and fun and it feels as though you are like a small group who see each other frequently.
Now let us go to the cards.
You at the present time: Justice.
It feels as though your life is taking some form of balance and equilibrium which has been long time coming. You are at the present time either going through a calming period to find balance in certain corners of your life or that will be manifested to you very soon. Some of the ‘balancing’ act may have or had its unpleasant side as Justice does not recognise emotions and it delivers only the truth and what is fair and impartial. I get the feeling that you welcome that impartiality that is either desperately needed in your life or you are being the recipient of the long-awaited justice. Whatever that was in the past is currently being sorted and you just feel now, all is done and I can move on.
Positive influences (that you can work with): King of Cups. The Star.
We have a second Major Arcana card here with the Star which is telling you not to give up hope. You have reached this far in your present and from here onwards it is time to nurture your dreams, desires and aspirations with hope in order to see them come true. Hope alone is not enough when there is no nurturing like this woman on the Star who has hope in her subconscious and yet is looking after the earth by pouring water from a pond onto the earth in order bring new life.
The King of Cups is a court card – water sign – Cancer, Pisces or Scorpio – who is either a father figure or someone in his early to late fifties, ready to embrace you with love and care and is there for you for support. He is an emotional man and is there for you to give emotional support when you need one. His advice comes from his heart and any support he offers to you comes from his paternal instincts.
Obstacles/ blockages you need to overcome: IX of Swords. V of Swords.
Not surprisingly both from the air element which mean either that it is a state of mind, in the case of the Nine of Swords where you may be worried about things and like the person on this card, these thoughts give you sleepless nights. There comes a time where we succumb to these unpleasant thoughts and depression and they can take over our lives. However, a calmer look at the situation may also reveal that it is not all that bad and things could be running out of control in one’s own mind and imagination. If you have had a distressing period or an experience in your past, then these have not left your system yet and are still halting your progress. And, with the Five of Swords I get the feeling of unfulfilled desires or aims which at times feel like a futile effort for you to fight for. But 5’s are that stage in our life when we feel nothing is going right and even when we feel we have overcome a situation, it feels inadequate for our purposes and we feel flat. This situation, like the 9 of Swords, has the potential of knocking you down if you are not careful to overcome them. These may as well be remnants of a past situation and if they are lingering on, you should look at the positive influences around you and take strength from them.
Message from the Tarot: The Emperor.
Another powerful Major Arcana card which signifies personal power, strength and authority in your affairs and what you believe in. The Emperor can also be a person in your life, like a pillar of strength, someone in his sixties and upwards possibly who is there to protect you. The Emperor first and foremost though is your own inner masculine power to fight for what you believe in.
Outcome: The High Priestess.
Another Major Arcana card as the outcome of your reading and that is your inner feminine instinct and your interaction with your own intuitive side. The High Priestess is that mysterious woman who has the answers to our questions and things hidden behind the curtain where she sits. But she will not divulge any answers at the drop of a hat unless you go within and try to find the answers in your own psyche. She has all the mystery of things unknown and yet she sits still and unperturbed waiting for you to probe within your own soul to find your answers there. If the Emperor was putting you in touch with your masculine side, the High Priestess is asking you to get in touch with your feminine side and rather than wait for things happen or the answers being delivered to you on a silver platter, start looking into your own soul and there will lie most of the answers. Only then the High Priestess will start divulging things to you and what you need to know.
I am sorry if this reading did not resonate with you in the areas of love and romance, as the absence of the suit of Cups (except the King of Cups) did not signify a forthcoming love and romance situation. However, perhaps this reading is telling you that there are things that need sorting out before love and romance can find space in your life.
I hope you are not too disappointed with this reading.
Best wishes.
