My dear Mizgator
Of course I understand what you are saying, but my dear, let me put it to you this way: if the cards showed that there was no romance on the horizon for you in the foreseeable future or the immediate horizon, what would you do? Please answer that question to yourself honestly. No need to tell us here in the public forum.. I hope you understand what I am getting at.
Your question was a conditional one again.

Anyhow, I will ignore the IF factor and will ask the following for you: What does Mizgator need to know (or do) with regard to her love life in the foreseeable future?
I asked the question and have not picked any cards yet. I wanted to connect with you on a different level to see what visions, images and messages I get from your energies. I am getting the feeling that despite putting yourself out on the social scene, sometimes you feel you don’t belong there. I see you looking from outside to the busy venues and you seem to be hesitant to go inside and even when you do, you somehow feel this is not for you. I am also getting the feeling that whilst you wish to have romance in your life, somehow your aspirations and aims are beyond the love and romance realm. I feel a depth and intensity about you which probably looks at life with a more philosophical and spiritual view than the physical one. It is as though, well, let me have love and romance and then I can still aim for those serious stuff. Can you handle both? Will you be able to chase your dreams when you have romance in your life? These are the feelings I am getting with my initial connection with you.
Now I will pick three cards for you with no specific placement names but the question is still same as above.
The deck I am using is the Rider Waite:
Eight of Swords. Temperance. Six of Cups.
Okay, here we go.
The cards are showing me a state of feeling trapped within your own self and a feeling of inadequacy about your thoughts and the actions that you would like to take. In fact, you are so stuck up and held back, there is no action – in your current mindset –that you think can be taken. You feel it is all a lost cause, like the woman in this card who is blindfolded, and her arms tied with a rope as far as her waist and eight swords surrounding her from behind and on the sides. There are, however, no swords in front of her but can she see that? No. In her blind vision, she can only see the obstacles around her but not ahead of her. All this is in her mind and only she can see the possibilities that are head of her once she takes her blindfold and realises that the road ahead is free and all the obstacles were of her own making. In order to do this, she needs healing – Temperance – whereby she has to find the balance between the needs of her spirit and those of her material world, i.e. body. Healing will be offered and greatly needed and in the form of a Major Arcana card is imminent. You need to first take off the blindfold and the sense of trapped vision or tunnel vision that you have in order to start feeling that sense of balance and equilibrium in your life. Temperance does not serve the panicked mind or the desperate soul. It is there to give you balance and also moderation in what you wish to achieve in your life. I feel that after acquiring that balance and the inner healing, you will be able to start having fun, flirtatious encounters – Six of Cups – and the possibility of someone from your past may cross your path. Whether this will develop into love and romance is hard to say, but to me the Six of Cups is also a time to start having light-hearted fun with people that you meet or people that you have known in the past.
I did sense a state of impatience and panic in your two posts in this thread and I believe the message for you is one of balance, equilibrium and moderation.
I hope this resonated with you Mizgator.
All the best to you and many blessings.
