I'm a new member here so I haven't had much to post about yet. But it would be great if I could get a reading from someone on whether my goals will be successful in the next few months. I'm new to tarot reading but I would be willing to do a reading exchange if you like, it'll be good practice for me!

Card 1 (Wheel Of Fortune) : How you feel about yourself now  »

Perhaps you feel due for a bit of good luck or indeed are experiencing some at the moment. The Wheel of Fortune is a card of destiny. What is happening now we could call fate, so if positive things are happening with your love life, career or finances this is no coincidence. If no such things are happening, expect a sudden change in fortune.

Card 2 (The Hanged Man) : What you most want at this moment  »

The cards suggest that what you most want at this time is to have it all, why should you have to give something or someone up? Perhaps you feel a victim and that events are not going as planned. Trust that this is a passage from one phase of your life to another. If you are not sure what or who you need to give up, trust that what will be will be, and will ultimately be to your benefit.

Card 3 (The Hierophant) : Your fears  »

Are you really your best counsel? Probably not at this moment in time. You are worried that you will sell yourself short and agree to something that you don't feel morally comfortable with. For example you may really desire marriage but the offer has been 'let's live together'. You may be looking at a job or business opportunity but you question how ethical it is. Seek out an advisor you can trust such as a teacher, priest, parent or anyone you have respect for. They will be happy to help.

Card 4 (The Hermit) : What is going for you  »

You are instinctively taking time to relax and reflect, drawing on your inner strength and wisdom to guide you through these difficult times. Time is a great healer, so if you don't know quite what to do now in time you will. The Hermit signals a warning not to make hasty decisions, and if you have been unwell this is a time for rest and recuperation.

Card 5 (Death) : What is going against you  »

This is a time of anxiety, depression and fear with all the turmoil and distressing events happening in your life - it's time to show what you are made of. What has now come to an end leaves room for brand new beginnings in life, love and career. However radical events may be in your life, believe that life goes on and life is what you make of it.

Card 6 (The Empress) : Outcome  »

This is a truly creative and fertile time. Expect the best if you are considering having a child, creating a new job or business opportunity or starting a creative project. The Empress symbolizes abundance, joy and happiness, and reassurance - a firm foundation for future progress.

Hope this helps! Love, Life, Truth - G Friedli

Could you please state what deck you are using, please? It helps our learners and newbies to form a picture in their mind.

Thank you.

I use the Mythic Tarot Deck. The theme of this deck is Greek mythology and these myths are used to illustrate the deck and its psychological themes.  Greek myths have been assigned to each card and the stories are intended to be used as a springboard from which to enrich an understanding of the psychological uses the tarot can be put to.

Although not a clone of the traditional Rider-Waite deck, anyone who is familiar with the Waite deck will find some similarities.  The authors of the Mythic Tarot have tried to maintain a connection to the Waite-tradition without copying it.

The four suits in this deck cover four well-known myths in detail:

Cups -- the love of Eros and Psyche
Wands -- the adventurs of Jason and the Argonauts
Swords -- the tribulations of Orestes and the House of Atreus
Pentacles -- the resourcefulness of Daedalus against the Minotaur

The cards are simple, yet warm and attractive.  I like the simplicity of the cards which seem to have an emotional expression on a subtle level.  They are pleasing to look at, and they do contain symbolic images, but are done in an uncluttered fashion.

Here is an Example Card Image From The Mythic Tarot
