This is a Celtic Cross Reading with the question being will this person come back into my life?

1. Heart of the Matter - Fool
2. Obstacle - Death
3. Basis - 5 of Wands
4. Past - Knight of Swords
5. Crowning - 7 of Swords
6. Future - 3 of Swords
7. Hierophant
8. 5 of Pentacles
9. 6 of Wands
10. Outcome - The Moon

It tells a story I think but the last four cards have me puzzled.  The Fool crossed by Death also has me at a loss for interpretation.

I presume this is Joan Bunning’s Celtic Cross spread.
Well, let me have a go at it.

1. Heart of the Matter - Fool
2. Obstacle - Death
1 and 2 tell me a story of change and a new outlook to life (or in this case your relationship) but the desire to change is not there or the desire to bring changes into a situation is acting as an obstacle by one or two of the parties involved. Whilst there may be an element of free spirit, wishing to do what the instinct tells, there is, however, not such a strong will to bring about that change.  I feel the Death card to me is like a clinging influence, not letting go.

3. Basis - 5 of Wands
The basis of where you stand now has been the result of constant arguments and disagreements; voices being raised and opinions ignored and in general a state of strife and discord.

4. Past - Knight of Swords
In the past the situation or a person has been constantly on the move, not wishing to settle in one place and promises made but not honoured. This person or the situation has been such that whilst not an unintelligent person, but somehow he/she has had some high opinion of oneself and that may have also created a rift between two people. The Knight of Swords can be charming and yet unreliable in the promises he makes. Avoids issues and dismisses them as unimportant.

5. Crowning - 7 of Swords
At first glance I feel at the sight of this card, run and minimise your losses. This to me is the immediate future and it is a case of cut your losses and save yourself.  Yes, this card also stands for the thief, but I am more inclined towards the idea of get away from what is trouble and uncertain.

6. Future - 3 of Swords
This needs no explanation. This tells me the future bases on the above is only leading to more heartache and parting of ways. I say no more.

7. Hierophant
I am assuming this position stands for YOU as you see yourself or what is coming to you. And with the Hierophant I feel lessons to be learnt and possibly for you to stick to tried-and-tested social facts rather than getting carried with what is not working for you. The major influence of this position I feel is for you to have learnt some lessons from this experience.

8. 5 of Pentacles .
Your mindset and effect of others in this situation.
Clearly the effect of others on you in this situation is causing further strife and disappointment, not to mention physical dis-ease and indeed heartache. I would urge you to consider positions 3 and 4 and their impact on you which is the Five of Pentacles – not too different from the III of Swords and the V of Wands.

9. 6 of Wands   - 10. Outcome - The Moon
Hope and Fears. Guidance. Your feelings on your chances of failure or success.
You hope for a successful and a victorious end to this situation is sort of nagging you in terms of will it or will it not? And, this worry and  of combined hope and fear will certainly lead you on to the Outcome of things....... the Moon.... which makes me feel  a state of depression and hopelessness in this situation.
Although I don’t believe in using such a complex spread for a Yes or No type question that you have asked, but to me all the cards in this reading are leading to some form of anguish and pain.

What does your gut feeling say to you?

When I laid out these cards I actually got a chill because it seemed to be my story.  

There was deceit from this person, also the 7 of Swords meaning.
