Hi Cedars

I hope that you are well. You readings are great, was wondering if you would be kind enough to give me one if you have time?

I was wondering if you could carry out a reading based on the next 6 months of my life in specific regards to my current job?

Thank you so much

Dear Bard,

I am going to use a spread which deals with what positive energies you can work with around you and what obstacles and possible negative energies you need to face in the process. I hope it will give you the insight that you are looking for.

I prefer to steer away from prophetic or predictive reading and I am guided to use this spread for you.

I am using the Rider Waite deck.
The question I asked:  What can Bard do to face the challenges ahead for the foreseeable future in her life in general and her work life in particular?

You now: Six of Wands.
Currently you seem to be on a winning streak whereby you seem to be successful in whatever you do and are being admired by those around you. The Wands belongs to the element of Fire and it is all about passion and creativity and the energy from within. In the six of Wands we a man marching home on horseback victoriously being applauded by his followers. This is a success story after the strife of the five. Fives are stand for strife, difficult times and the Sixes (and in this case the Six of Wands) heralds success, admiration and the leader’s status.  Whatever the past has been with you, I feel this current position of yours is typical of this victorious warrior.

Positive energies/influences around you:
King of Pentacles. Seven of Swords.

You have someone around you in the person of the King of Pentacles (element of Earth and having to do with our earthly belongings and material comfort) who is someone in his possible fifties or late forties, with a good financial head on his shoulders. He could be a family member, a boss or bank manager  - someone who is happy to give advice and financial matters and even be helpful to you in those areas. He is not full of himself and his financial status (wealth or knowledge) does not make him big-headed or full of himself. This person – whoever he is in your life – has got positive influences towards your current situation and, if he has not currently show up in your life, he may soon do.
The Seven of Swords is a situation depicted in this card by someone taking away what he can (five swords) and running away from a situation thus leaving two swords behind. Swords belong to the element of Air and they indicated to mental power as well as the spoken words (air). I feel with this card that whatever has been going on around you, you either wish to go it alone or cut your losses and salvage whatever you can to continue with the resources available to you at the present time. This card has often been described in tarot circle as the thief running away with his loot. But each situation has its own insight and interpretation. The feeling I am getting with this card is for you to make the best of a situation and forget whatever is not working for you. I hope this resonates with you in the meaning it has come here as ‘positive energy/influence’ which you can use for your highest good.

Obstacles or possible negative influences around you.
Eight of Wands. Temperance.

The immediate feeling I am getting with these two cards – albeit not bad cards in their traditional meanings – that if you are thinking of speeding up things, then perhaps that would not be such a good idea. The Eight of Wands shows eight wands flying and heading towards the earth. To me this gives me the feeling that things are in their seminal for formative stage but not ready to touch the ground. This also indicated speed as the eight wands are heading fast towards the earth and the result can either be good or bad.  As this card has come up in the obstacle and negative part of this reading, I am guided to look at it as something not be done in a hurry for if it is done without due consideration, the outcome may not be as good as anticipated.
The Temperance is a very positive card which stands for moderation, compromise, equilibrium and healing. But under the obstacles part of this reading I feel it may mean that you could be letting down your guard and compromise more than you should. I also feel this could also mean that what would have been a breathing space for you, time to find a balance in your life, you might be sacrificing that by giving in to other peoples’ demands. Find that balance within yourself rather than giving in to outside pressures.
The above two cards (or situations) are seen to be as a sign of cautioning you on what might be working against you. If you could combine the two positive energies in the first part of this reading and also be aware of the possible obstacles and turn them around to work in your favour, you could have four possible positive energies to work with.

Message from the Tarot; advice on what to do.
Justice.

Whether you have dealings with the Law or any legal matters surrounding your life at the moment, it is advised that justice will be met, no matter what we do. The Justice card shows the Judge in a red robe, sitting on a stone throne, holding a scale with one hand and a sword pointing upwards with the other. Justice will be served – whether it is agreeable to one or not. It is often said justice has no feelings: it delivers what is right in cold blood whether it is agreeable to us or not. Whether you are in a situation awaiting justice to be served or you need to start looking at events around you with a balanced mind, either of them will come to you or for you to start following in that path. This is a message from high above – the universe. It could mean that  either you should treat situations around you with a sense of justice or if you are going through a phase, justice will be served sooner or later.

Outcome:
The Chariot.

Whilst you have some work to do in your current ‘struggles’ but the Chariot promises that outwardly fire and energy to reach your goal with a sense of balance, as we see the charioteer controlling his chariot and instead of horses he has a black and a white lion pulling the chariot – meaning two opposite energies being guided to reach a common goal. The Chariot is the physical action and some call it struggle to be able to control your own affairs to reach to the desired outcome. In order to do that  - like the Justice above – you should be able to manoeuvre your affairs in a balanced manner to guide those two lions in your path in such a way (because you need both these energies in your struggle – the Yin and the Yang)  to get to your destination.
The last part of the reading has shown us three Major Arcana cards and all three indicate some form of balance and equilibrium. Could the message of this reading be any louder my friend?

I enjoyed doing this reading for you and I hope it resonated with you.

When you have a few minutes it will be great to hear from you.

Best wishes.
Cedars

Very kind of you Cedars, to provide me with a detailed and impressive reading, and so quickly.

It is also very accurate in regards to what I know at this moment in time about my life/circumstances.  I have been made redundant twice in the past year and started a new job a few months ago. I have had a very turbulent life owing to a traumatic upbringing and have experienced loss over and over again in nearly every area of my life (romantic relationships, friendships, jobs) since birth.

Despite this, I now have great friendships, a beautiful home, am launching a company, am  financially independent and have never missed a mortgage payment despite losing 3 jobs in the past 2 years. However, my most recent job is now in jeopardy, only 6 months after the last redundancy.
My current job is very cushty i.e i work from home, have a great salary and work for a really nice and easygoing person and the job isn’t demanding. The job is now under  threat as my boss has been falsely accused of misconduct and is either going to be moved in the company, lose his job or just leave owing to the sheer stress of the whole situation. I am a compassionate person that is accustomed to loss, therefore I really feel for him, also on a personal level - I like him a lot, so it is horrible to see him be treated unjustly. This person is the person you mention when you quote the King Of Pentacles.

My job is in jeopardy as I work for him and without him being in the company, there is a significant chance that I will also lose my job owing to a number of complex reasons. I am very anxious about this, and also am not sure I have the stamina to go through a 3rd redundancy in 8 months and to lose a job only 12 weeks after starting it!. I also have no savings as I have invested all of my money in my business, so would be financially screwed (for want of a better phrase) and would definitely have my home repossessed.

My long term aim is for my business to support me financially and to make a significant amount of money from it and for it also to boost my low self esteem (it is low owing to living in an abusive situation for 25 years and experiencing several redundancies and unpleasant colleagues etc). The business hasn't launched yet, it is in its formative stages (i.e is still being built by people working on it for me), so the temperance card may be advising me not to invest the lionshare of current income into the business when I might still lose the job that is supporting me, perhaps that I should save the money as contingency should I lose the job. I will call this in due course.

Or perhaps it is telling me  not to make a choice that benefits others i.e if i am offered a job that supports my boss in a new role, I shouldn't take it as he will probably leave sooner rather than later (as he is upset at the company's poor treatment of him, and therefore I don't imagine he will wish to stay working for the company for years to come, or even months to come) and this will essentially put me back in the vulnerable situation I am currently in of not having a guaranteed role in the company and being at risk of redundancy.

I feel that there is a lot of the situation outlined above is out of my control and it is hard to feel grounded. I suppose that the near future will clarify the ways in which I will need to seek a balance - I sincerely hope that this balance isn't going through find employment elsewhere once again. Time will tell.

Many thanks again Cedars
