I read your stickies and your forum rules, but as I am in serious need of help, I am asking for help in my very first post here.

After over a year long period of confusion and being unable to make a decision I drove myself and the people I love to the edge of insanity. I really need to make a decision as I can not prolong this agony any longer. I hope a tarot reading could present me with some guidelines regarding all questions connected to my present situation. There is a lot I could tell you about my problem, but as I am not that familiar with tarot reading I will only post the most important question that I can not deal with.


My question is:

Should I return to my previous life and my family or should I stay with my present partner and build a new life with her?

I can see your dilemma, but believe me my friend those answers should come from within you and not through the cards.
I agree with you that there comes a point in our life when we want the answers from somewhere else, as we may be too engrossed with the pain and the uncertainty of a given situation. But if the answer came from outside of you, in this case the cards or some psychic reading, would you leave all responsibility to them or wouldn’t you want to have any say in the matter, in something so important in your life? I am afraid the decisions of life – and indeed the hard decisions of life – are not written on the wall or in the cards my good man. No one can give you the answer and I for one cannot give you a reading based on something which should be decided by you. I don’t believe any decent psychic would (or should) tell you what is best for you. We all have free will to choose despite what others say. Even when some of the decisions we have made are not ideal, but we always find a way to adapt and live with all the rest that is working for us.

I read your threads in the I need a hug forum about your divorce and now in your reading request I understand you have a current partner and your dilemma is whether to stay where you are or go back to your wife. Do I understand it correctly?

Doesn’t the fact that you are wondering whether you should go back to your previous life and possibly find happiness there, tell you something? I am not saying my concealed answer to you is that you should go back? But why don’t you pause and ask yourself why are you two-minded about your current happiness as to which union is best for you – and for the others involved too?

I can almost sense your own struggle within your our soul and it feels to me like you are pulling your hair and unsure which way to turn to. Where does my happiness lie between these two choices? Is there a choice for you to make? Your confusion is overwhelming and yet I cannot but say if your previous life presents you the opportunity for happiness for you, your wife and your daughter, then don’t you think that would be the ideal choice? But none of us know the details of the complexities of your previous life – and indeed the current one for that matter. So, I will make no further educated guesses or assumptions.

I will ask the cards the following question.

To have hope for the future like the bright stars in the sky that guide the weary and lost travellers in the darkness of the night. All can be up there for you to guide you, to give you hope for the future, but I also feel that hope alone is not enough. Hope needs nurturing like the woman in the card who is pouring water from a pond on to the dry land to bring life into it.  Next we have the Devil which is all about our dependencies and possibly addictions on material possessions, earthly feelings and desires, but most of all the word that keeps coming back to me is dependency on something. The Devil is there to give way to our material and physical desires and wishes, but we can easily fall victim into the addictive influence. However, the Devil also tells us that to free ourselves from those dependencies is not that difficult at all. There is a man and a woman under the influence of the Devil, both chained loosely to a rock on which the devil rests. The man and the woman have both got tails which represent their animal instinct /nature but human intelligence. The devil will never force them to stay or leave.... the choice is theirs to do either and the process of abandonment is not so difficult. All they have to do is just let go of the loose chains and walk away.

In the Two of Pentacles we see  the duality of a situation where a man juggles two coins in the figure of eight (infinity) whilst behind him there are ships on the high seas waiting to come home. What does this tell you with regard to your situation? Have you been juggling a situation for a while now waiting something to reach its destination or a conclusion?  Has the process of juggling been some sort of a fun period despite the waiting that has been going in the back of your mind? Juggling between two options perhaps but this juggling could not go on forever?
The Temperance is calling for healing and it is one of the most beautiful cards of the tarot.  Healing comes in many different ways my friend. Dialogue with yourself and with the people involved perhaps? Everything that the archangel promises on this card, almost like a doctor himself, promises healing and a better future filled with sunshine in the background. He is mixing from one cup into the other, almost like the lady in the Star above and is blending the mind and the soul, the physical and the spiritual to come to equilibrium.  In order for you to find that balance, you are in need of healing in every area of your life. From hope with the Star to breaking of the chains of the devil and the juggling of your options in a patient manner to finding that inner peace within your own soul. Only then you may be in  a position to make the right decision for you and for the others in your life.

Please don’t get cross because the cards did not give you a black-and-white answer to your question. I am afraid it does not work that way. I feel spirit gives us freedom to make our own choices whether right or wrong. If it is wrong, then we have learn not to repeat them. But, you can always ask for guidance, help and insight from your higher self, from the universe, from your angels and God – or whatever you belief system is.

first of all I thank you for your fast reply, I wasn't sure how long it takes for someone to read and answer posts here. Also I would like to thank you for your kind words regarding my situation. I believe what you wrote is true - there are questions that every person has to decide for him/her-self, and mine is one of those.

And thank you for your reading, I think the cards showed exactly what I feel inside - and no, they haven't made my decision easier, but at least I know I am walking in the right direction... I hope   I already took some steps yesterday - I sent away all the resentment and bad feelings and spent a really nice day with my wife and my daughter and in the end of the day I felt more peaceful and relaxed than any day in last two years.

I read your reading over and over again and I think I will do it again from time to time until my confusion stops. I feel (I hope) I am ready to take some more action and move myself to a better and more satisfying life. I am sure it will not be easy and all that wonderful but I feel if there is hope and desire, everything you want is achievable. This is something I believed in very much before the break up and the thing is, your reading (star, devil, temperamence) showed me just that

First of all, thank you for your prompt feedback. There is no set pattern my friend as to how soon or late we respond to requests. I have not been able to come on line much these days...

hmmm reading from the shaman tarot deck here goes the energies I pulled up first is the world card, you are on a new journey crossed with 6 of bows(swords) you are on a journey which is crossing you the foundation card is the wheel it the right move for you as in it is your right path what crowning you is the fool a new adventure what behind you is king of bones(wands) which not that emotional satisfying to you in fact, you felt like you were drowning, and a you need something more which spirred the inner drive to move forward.
