Hello Horus
A reading request for the New Year, as most of us wish to obtain these days, is virtually asking for a prediction of what is to come. As I have explained to other querents and, as some of my friends here also have the habit of working with, I take readings for a period of six months. Sometimes it takes more than six months for the so-called predictions or the reading to come into light, and I am not going to go into that right now.
You have also asked two questions: romance and finance..... fancy both of them ending in –ance
Your energy is quite familiar to me, Horus, and I am not going to make a psychic connection with you as such. As I write this, I already feel there is some peace and accord in your life from what was before, and you seem to have grounded yourself a lot better, but I still feel the anxiety of attaining what you have always wanted is still there.
I am not going to ask some fancy questions with regard to your reading, as I know you have always wanted to know about love and finance. I will simply ask:
What is it that Horus needs to know for the time being regarding love and finance for the foreseeable future and the steps he can take in this regard?
I am using the Rider Waite deck and will be guided by a general spread, which does not really have a title.
Immediate Issue: Death.
This is a major Arcana card which stands for change. Probably it is poignant that this reading is on the last day of the year and a new year is about to dawn upon us. Death heralds changes into our life, changes that are either imminent or are taking place beyond our control because perhaps they need to change. I have already felt a change about you, Horus, which gives me a feeling not as low and as despondent as the previous times. I am hoping this change, a positive one is something you are well aware of and welcome its pleasant effects. No change is easy or pleasant whilst going through the changing process, but I believe this is what you need to consider as your current issue.
Underlying Cause : Page of Wands.
The cause of this immediate issue, i.e. the change, is possibly a drive coming from within you like a surge of electric power which is pushing you to change direction or look at life with a new form of energy and passion. Wands are of the Fire element and they stand for creativity, new ideas whether borne from within or outside us. A page could be a person around you – young at heart – who may be having this impact on you or, as I said, an inner power from your solar plexus pushing you to move forward. It may remind you of your teenage years where any new prospect was an adventure and fun.
The Immediate Future: Ace of Pentacles. Queen of Cups.
There are two elements involved here which could be the result of this new surge or energy: New beginnings in the areas of material and financial comfort. The Ace of Pentacles is a gift for new opportunities such as a new job, new sources of income, new projects and anything that is related to your physical and material world. In the Queen of Cups, we see the impact of a woman (or a man) in your life who is rather sensitive, intuitive (and sometimes psychic too) having a bearing in the immediate future. She is a woman coming into your life, around the same age as you whose sensitivity may guide you in some form or possibly an emotional attachment/involvement may be on the cards. One thing I would say about this person is her hyper sensitivity which sometimes can have an adverse effect. But, I will hasten to add, such sensitivity and understanding can also be beneficial to the right person by way of support and the nurturing qualities that a person might need.
Advisory card: Page of Swords.
Another young energy, but this time it is one of the element of Air and not Fire. At the best of times, I would view the Page of Swords as a reckless teenager who has a sharp mind – and he knows it too – and is one to offer solutions to complex matters. Sometimes, he can be immature and may have his head in the clouds, but as an Advisory Card I feel I should tell you to adopt some of his astuteness and not to take anything at face value. If this card had fallen under obstacles, I would have cited some of the ‘bad’ qualities of this youngster, but as with all of us, there are also good sides to him. If you think you may take things a bit too seriously, Horus, I would say the Page of Swords is asking you to let things go by the wind and not to take life too seriously. He may be a happy-go-lucky character, but he is also a clever chap who relies more on his own abilities than other people. Hope this makes sense to you.
How you feel and how others see you: Nine of Wands. The World.
I feel this is poignant of you, if you will allow me to say so my friend.
Throughout the years you have become so defensive against forces from the outside, that you won’t let anyone or anything come near you. You have become so protective of yourself, lest you get hurt ....again...... or ..... perhaps it might hurt.... that you don’t let anyone come near you. But, on the other hand the world at large does not see you that way. They see a man who perhaps does not need to be so protective or himself and someone who has everything and yet feels he doesn’t; someone who has so much to offer and for some reason is not letting go.....
Underlying needs and wants: King of Wands.This king, this man, is full of self confidence, charisma, sex appeal, he presents himself outwardly in the best way possible to the world, full of passion and enthusiasm........ Would it be wrong to say that perhaps you wish to acquire some his qualities?
Summary/Outcome: Seven of Cups.
Options.... choices... multitude of things to choose from as we see this man standing in front of seven cups each promising something dazzling to the eye, mind, body and soul...... Opportunities and choices will be there for you to choose from.
