could someone please read for me as why do i feel this strong pull towards this person and what could be our future together should we decide to go ahead together in life ? i feel very protective of him but don't know much about how he really is as we haven't explored each other much as yet. but i think that he feels the same for me as i do for him .

Is there an answer to the attraction we feel towards someone? Isn't the heart a funny thing that sometimes has its own mind? thank you so much for the feedback .
whatever you have written up there regarding the question i have posed makes complete sense.
however, this is something that i am myself not so sure as what it really is between me and him.
i am not at all interested in getting into a relationship with the man i have mentioned in my post as i feel that i already am in a relationship with him. i dont know him that well  . but everytime i see him or hear from him i miss a beat in my heart . i wont call it romantic love feeling only because that is not the case here. i feel protective of him, i feel like wishing for his wellbeing all the time. i sometimes feel that motherly love for him as if he is a child who is in pain and i need to embrace him . i dont know what it is but it is pretty strong and i have felt it lot many times to raise any doubt about it in my mind that it could be just longing to have a person in your life. i feel connected to him in ways i myself dont understand. we keep going like good friends for a long while  , then we loose complete contact with each other for a long period only to get back again and neither of us tries to dig for reasons for us not talking in the past .we just go with the flow .i feel strong rush of emotions when he is around that it gets overwhelming many times. i have asked myself a lot many times as what it could be ? is it love? is it compassion for other person whom i care for ? is it some kind of past-life bond that has continued in this life time ? or is it some divine intervention that i am unable to unlock .i feel very very close to him. i have cried for him like a kid  , i have been happiest in his happiness, i have longed to have him around and i have felt so protective of him that i have prayed day and night to god to save him from pain and distress. what is it ? we have hardly seen each other ,have never talked to each other face to face , we live miles apart still we feel so close . and it is same with him too. he feels the same about this connection. i am so keen to know what is going on, why does this person hold such a special place in my life even though i have never seen him , i have hardly known him n i am not sure if we would be able to keep it like this for life or not . and  it amazes me that everytime we loose contact the feeling gets stronger that we'll get even more closer when we see each other again. and it is mutual .
i wanted to get a reading regarding this connection as what it really is ,what is he doing in my life , is it some karmic relationship that i need to pay attention to for some purpose , do i know him from past life ...there are tons of questions like these in my mind which keep on lurking in my mind 24/7 .
