Coco,
'Redundant' in the UK means (or should mean) when your job is no longer valid, required, or the position is redundant which means they cannot bring in someone else to do a job which technically does not exist. By your employer asking you to train someone else to do the same job as yours does not indicate to me that your job or position is going to be made redundant. On the contrary, perhaps there is demand for your type of position and another hand is necessary. Would that be the case?
Why do you think you will lose your job? They cannot do that if they have not given you any reason for dissatisfaction with your performance.
Have you asked them why you are to train this new person?
My dear Coco, I am not touching the cards at this stage, but why would you assume that because of your past or 'background' that you feel you have some kind of a negative pattern over your life which is not going away?

What reason do you have or feel within that this could be what your employer is trying to do?
Let us not make haste and go to the cards for a predictive answer.
MY personal advice to you my friend would be to wait and see what the company's plans are and ask your immediate supervisor (if you are still worried) why would you need to train another person doing the same job as yours?
Just calm down and do not panic when there is no valid reason for it. Besides, panicking would not solve a thing at this stage as you said you need this job. Before we seek answers from other sources, let us seek the answers from our own environment i.e. your workplace.
Would you do that, please?
Blessings to you.
