Hello i was wondering if anyone would do a reading for me. I'd like to know what would be the most successful career path for me? I have done my own reading and posted it here if you'd like to give me input on that reading too. thanks

I will give you a reading.
I haven't yet read your reading that you did for yourself but i will address that here to when i get done with this.  I didn't want to get confused by your cards when i'm reading my cards.  
i am using RW deck. (R) means reversed cards. i did a 3 Card Spread for you.  Past, Present and Future with three cards in each row.

The Past I drew The Queen of Wands, VIII of wands (R) and The Ace of Swords.
the Queen sits with a wooden staff in one hand and a sunflowers in the other.  This is you looking for hard work and nature.  What is in the future that you want?  The VIII of Wands shows eight staffs flying through the air which one will stick in the ground when they come down.  There are things you are thinking of and maybe wanting to try.  what is it that you want out of yourself?  The Ace of Swords in the last position of the Past row leading us in the Present row with a new beginning and what you are choosing to do now.  Or at least taking a step toward what you want from the Past.
The Present is Page of Swords, IX of Pentacles(R) and Page of Pentacles(R)   The Page of Swords, a young person,  picks up the sword and new beginning will start.  This is you just starting to decided what you want and willing to fight (or work) for it.  IX of Pentacles shows a person well to do and money is the thought she is having.  Is that all you want want, coins? Are you forgetting the sunflower of the Queen of Wands.  The sunflower that the earth and sun gave us?  The Page of Pentacles(R) yet another young person, is you in a new beginning of life trying to move out on your own (thoughts and ideals) forgetting the past thoughts and ideals. Now, remember this is your Present that is going to led you into the Future.
Page of Pentacles is walking us in to the Future. (3rd row of the spread getting us to the question you asked).  The page is focused on the coin he is holding and wants to hold as he goes into the Future.  
the Future row is the II of Swords, IX  of Cups(R) and the III of Cups(R)
the future is blind to you as it is too her.  she is blindfolded on a beach at night with a Waxing moon above, water behind and a beach ahead.  She sees none of it.  It's clear you do not know exactly what you want ahead of you or your conflicted by what you want but what you need (as we all need, the evil coin).    Because of the moon it is your subconscious starting off the future and not the conscious mind cannot see because of the blindfold.  The IX of Cups(R) offers a lot of choices above your head (your thoughts and feelings).  Will you sit there and let one of the cups spill over onto you head or will you stand up and pick a cup. The Cup cards represent a more spiritual path especially with the last card being the III of Cups(R).  You really need to ask your self what do i want the coin or the spiritual?  although i would suggest you ask, can i live with both of them and still have my soul intact at the end of the day. (your soul being the thing that puts your mind at ease when you sleep).      The last card is III of Cups.  Once again a spiritual card with three woman holding up their cups in a circle.  Usually this card is seen as a coven or group coming together on a spiritual path (be that christian, Buddhism, Wicca, etc etc).
You question for this reading was, "I'd like to know what would be the most successful career path for me?"
I can not answer your question directly for you nor can the Tarot
We use the Tarot to led us into the future and warn of pitfalls, directions, etc and are own minds and subconscious that we not see or clouded by them.  I did the reading because i found it interesting to see what the cards will show me about the person asking ie YOU and maybe show you that your question isn't necessary wrong to ask (especially for a beginner) but to give a insight on WHY you ask what you asked and use the Tarot to show you that insight.  The Tarot is made up of choices that WE make and how those choices will lead on the path we all are searching for.  The Tarot can't tell you what you want but only lead you there and maybe how to get there.    basically, its all up to you start your own path and what you want, then use the Tarot to go into the future.

now i will work on your spread and post it here in this thread because i am going to deal with an interpretation of you cards and not a general discussion on Tarot.  Plus it will go along with my reading anyway!

I did this reading for myself so its a little difficult to interpret. I wanted to know what I would be doing for a career and how I will become successful. I used the celtic cross spread. Here is the reading.

1st position: Basis or focus of the matter: Knight of Pentacles.
2nd position: Positive or negative energy for or against you: Knight of wands
3rd position: Subconscious, message from your higher self, soul purpose: Queen of pentacles
4th position: The past: 7 of pentacles
5th position: Conscious influence: 10 of swords
6th position: Near future: 9 of chalices
7th position: My point of view: Judgement
8th position: How others see me or my environment: Queen of Chalices
9th position: Hopes/fears/lesson: 3 of pentacles
10th position: Outcome: 9 of pentacles with two clarifying cards; 10 of pentacles and 2 of Chalices

I know with other sites there are rules like you have to post your interpretation before anyone can help. I dont know if thats a rule here but Id rather not say anything so I can get someone elses completely unbiased interpretation. If necessary I will post my own interpretation. I won’t write out every meaning of your cards this time.  But I see a pattern in your cards and mine, a lot of Pentacles and cups.  When you do a spread check out the patterns you get.  Like a lot of pentacles and cups.  Each suits has a overall themes to them.  Pentacles are money.  Cups are spiritualism. Wands are labor.  Swords are aggressive actions. (very many more for each suit just not one meaning)  so in my reading and yours we see a lot of labor and a lot of spiritualism.  That should tell you something in your reading from.  Are you conflicted on your spiritualism?  Is that why you got the X of swords for your “conscious influence” and if you dig deep is there something subconscious about a spiritual conflict.  Something that conflicts with how you work or think of your work and money.  Just throwing some thoughts out there for you to think about.  This is the beauty of Tarot; what it can tell you about yourself and others.   BTW I thought about turning  another card for your spread for more info but didn’t. when I did look, after I did what I was doing with your reading, it was the X of Swords.  For your X of sword I would say conflicts that you don’t see but has a conscious effect on you.  
FYI, as your learning I wouldn’t worry too much about the patterns of suits and colors and such but be mind of them as your learn it will make your readings much more richer.

Thank you very much for the reading! It makes a lot of sense. I figured I got a lot of pentacles because I was asking about my career and success. The thing is, I know what I WANT to do, but I wonder if it's what I'm supposed to do. Also if it is what I'm supposed to do, am I on the right track to success? How do I make it work? There are a lot of restrictions in my way right now. So I wanted to know how to get past those blocks and finally start this journey. So you see possibly a spiritual career also? I don't think i have any spiritual conflicts though I'm not sure exactly what you mean. Maybe this will make more sense to you when you look at my reading. I am a musician and a witch. I'm starting to develop my psychic and healing abilities more at this point in my life and I feel it might be my life calling. The conflict with that is, am i still able to pursue the band and everything else at the same time? Or am I supposed to stick with one and leave the other? ideally I would have both in my life and combine the two and create a business of my own. What do you think from the reading you did and your own intuition? thanks again!
