Hello AriesJupiter
Before laying the cards, I tried to connect with your energies to get a feel of what state you are in. My findings (or visions) can be symbolic sometimes the way they come to me and you can be the best judge as to what that symbolism means.
The first thing I got was you in a garden surrounded by all sorts of colourful plants and flowers and it is as though you are having difficulties which is the most beautiful or attractive one to go to. I see you being tempted to pick some flowers and then I also get the feeling that may be there is another one that is prettier around the corner. I feel that probably you have options and choices around but you don’t know which one may be suited to you most. The symbolism of this garden gives me the feeling that you are not short of options and opportunities. It is just that whatever suits or resonates with you is the issue here. And then I see you from the garden on to a big wide avenue or a boulevard which gives me the feeling that your aspirations are big and futuristic and a wide spectrum of ideas. Sometimes you are frightened of their magnitude and feel that perhaps you are not worthy enough of fearful of aspiring so high. But the very fact that you are looking at the future with grand ideas and the possible choices available to you, may be quite daunting to you and may halt your further progress and keep you where you are. Socially, I don’t get a strong feeling about your social life, because you are probably in a muddle as far as your purpose of life, what you want to do, where you want to go. I somehow get the feeling that you don’t put enough energy socially or probably you are thinking far too much about this picture of life, what’s going to happen or where you are going in life. Probably the message here is not to make a big deal about this life purpose thing and try to have some fun and live life as it is presented to you on a daily basis.
Now, let us go to the cards and see what their messages are.
I am using the Rider Waite deck and a spread called: Where am I now and am I going?
1. Who/Where am I now?
The Hanged Man.
You are neither in limbo land nor in a decisive state of mind. You are in a ‘reflective’ frame of mind and body too. No one forced you to be here; no one asked you to be here; it was of your own accord to reflect, take time out, ponder on things and find ‘illumination’ of mind. This can also be a sacrificial state of mind; one who sacrifices himself/herself by almost withdrawing from life in order to find certain answers. However, there could be a danger of getting carried away and reach to a state of self pity and feeling sorry for oneself. The whole purpose of putting yourself in this reflective phase is to withdraw and find your answers. This is where you are at for the present.
2. What I don’t know about myself.
Two of Swords. Element of air – thoughts, words, spoken or unspoken.
Here is a woman sitting on a bench, blindfolded and with a sword in each hand crossing over her chest. Not a step backward, not a step forward. You know exactly what is out there, you know what should be said and seen, but you have chosen not to for fear of something? But, you, within yourself know all the answers; you just choose to remain impartial and wait for the right moment to express it to yourself and to the world at large. Once you admit it to yourself, there will be no need for the blindfold and the swords which are partly your strength and partly your own barriers to move forward. Your strength because swords are your tools to crush the obstacles, but you have chosen to build a barrier for your own step ahead.
3. What I need to relinquish?
King of Wands. Element of Fire, passion. Creativity and desires.
The King of Wands is someone who has matured in his own domain, built his kingdom and, indeed, his future and sits on his throne enjoying his kingdom. It is not a resigned state of mind, but one of settlement and not much to look forward to in life. After all, what more does a king want? This can also be a man in your life, a father figure, or someone of that stature, who could have been your role model, your protector and someone to look up to and possibly done all he could to you. Are you perhaps clinging to him for further support? Are you perhaps thinking that you have reached a stage in your life that there is not much for you do to? I don’t think so, otherwise you would not have asked for this reading.
4. What I need to develop?
Knight of Wands. Another Fire element.
The Knight is the king’s son but he is still marching about, running from one conquest to the other, from one affair to the other, from one set of passion and excitement to the other, trying this and trying that....in other words living life to the full. He is not the teenager, but one who has been given free rein to behave as he desires. Ok.. I have to admit, our Knight can also be foolhardy and full of himself sometimes (you do not need to follow that trait of his) but the Knight is someone who is always on the move; he travels, he sees new places and he welcomes new experiences. He is in the true sense of the Wands suit – a man of passion, desire, excitement as well as foolhardy, impetuous, charming, flirtatious, passionate…….Are these qualities telling you something? Are any of these missing in your life and that which you need to adopt perhaps?
5. What I would love to become?
Death.
No, don’t worry, you would not love to be dead, but perhaps you desperately love to bring yourself out of this rut and change into a different YOU. Leave the past behind and open a new page. The Death card stands for new beginnings, but on the proviso that you leave the stale and what is old and not needed anymore behind. Would you love to rise from the ashes like the phoenix and embrace a new lease of life? Yes? What is stopping you my friend?
6. What is my current quest?
Ace of Wands. Element of Fire……… again.
Have you noticed what you wish to become is all related to the element of Fire?
The Ace of Wands is all about new beginnings that come from the Universe, from the Cosmos, like a gift from heaven. This is all about a new start in the areas of passion, a new philosophy, a new approach to life, a new path in creation and creativity, a new zest for life and in projects and ideas. A new You; it is like some divine being lands into your hands possibilities, like the Magician, and it is up to you to make them flourish or give life to them. Believe me, once this inner surge comes to you, there will be no stopping you. It is the Ace, the number One. There is of course having the surge to start afresh and the willingness to accept and go ahead with it. But if this is your current quest, once it is presented to you, you will be in a willing position to embrace it.
Timing? If I have to go with what Wands stand for, I would say in the summer months.
7. Where it will lead to?
Six of Wands.
Fire element again!
This is the victory card where we see the warrior victoriously marching in, carrying a wand adorned with a wreath. He is being applauded by the crowds for his achievements. All being well and all the advice followed, the way ahead is one marked with victory. This can be victory over a frame of mind; a state of transformation from the past to a new reality. Victory and success in whichever area of life that you strive for.
There you go my friend. You had several questions in your request: career, purpose, destiny…..and I hope this reading will guide you to a focal point in your life and bring about the changes you wish to make.
I hope this reading meant something for you and I would very much appreciate your feedback.
Best wishes and many blessings to you.
