Hello Allie

We always feel pain when a relationship comes to an end. I have news for you: you are not unique; it is your sensitive and human side. Others don’t feel so much pain, but they do feel something, believe me.

I also see that you have a tendency of blaming yourself for the failure of this relationship.

Let us see …..

As brief as this relationship was (four months) we all can find lessons from our experiences. I am doing this purely based on my connection with your energies and I will be guided by vision and mainly with the feelings I get from you. At first glance I felt an element of the Self about you. Perhaps you do things from your own self perspective and point of view without giving much consideration to the other person? This is just a feeling I am getting and I am not going to use words such as selfish and the likes.  That is not what I am getting….. but possibly a feeling of you viewing at your ideas, wishes, and your point of view in a more single-minded way than others may appreciate.  I also feel the fact that you wish to self analyse as to why this went wrong, that you have a strong personality (self-critical) and this strength may have come between you two and may have presented an obstacle in your interaction with the other person. Without doing a third party reading, I feel he is of a more subtle or ‘weaker’ personality and does not take authority or strong opinions around him.  I am also getting the feeling that apart from that, you may also have been smothering him which he found over powering. It is you who is the important one here and it is you who wanted some answers. I feel you have a strong personality and perhaps that could have been some of the reason(s) as to this did not survive.

The above observation was independent of the tarot cards.

I will now lay the cards and use the spread: Where do I go from here?

Deck:  Rider Waite.

1. Where am I now?
Page of Pentacles.
Within your own self, you are now contemplating the future; what can be done in order to bring dividends to your earthly existence? This is an Earth element and it signifies about beginnings within one’s self relating to matters of our earthly existence, comfort, being in touch with our bodily desires and almost like starting afresh with a view to progress and make something tangible of our ‘investment’ for our own earthly existence here. It is looking at things with a practical mind and also to see how things can be better for the future.
This can also be a person, a teenager, in your life or an adult with a youngster’s attitudes. I do not feel it relates to a person in your life, but rather you within yourself making new strategies and as if trying to set a new trend or new projects (career or life itself) for the future.

2. What is causing me a problem?
King of Swords.
Astute, strong, speaks his mind up, does not suffer fools gladly and can also be seen harsh on the outside. He has a fair sense of judgement and he is guided more by his head than his heart. He does not cling on to sentimentalities, but he is not necessarily and unfeeling person. These are the qualities of the King of Swords. Could these qualities have been presenting themselves as an obstacle? Could it be that someone befitting this king could have been a problem in your situation?

3. What have you forgotten to respect?
King of Pentacles.
So far we have had four court cards and these could mean either people in your life or their qualities which may affect you. This is why I describe their personality traits in a way to give you some guidance.
The King of Pentacles, unlike the King of Swords, is neither an emotional man nor extremely astute and man of principle. He is a benevolent – and at times a charitable person. He has a good head for financial matters and is also a good investor. He is quite lad back and he is neither passionately expressive of his feelings nor is he a heart of rock. He is a gentle father figure to whom you can go for help and advice and get all the help – either moral or financial – and come out feeling good. He knows what’s best for him and for others and thus gives advice accordingly.  He has that kind of personality and external aura about himself. Could it be that you have come across such qualities and forgotten to ‘see’ or respect them in the other person or could it be that you yourself lack some of his qualities?

4. What you need to express?
Eight of Pentacles.
We see a man here looking at a tree or a bush waiting for the buds to come into full bloom. He has spent time and effort working on something and it is now that phase of waiting for the results of his hard work. It takes dedication and patience to start a project and sit and wait for the results to come home. He is almost there, as number eight, waiting for the full bloom of the tree, but still can do nothing but wait. Some of us cannot wait; we want things to happen now! There is an element of appreciation about this man, whilst he leans against his garden tool and waits patiently and in anticipation that things will come through.  Appreciation of the hard work the ability to be patient for results?

5. What are your possible options?
The Chariot.
The ability to manoeuvre through all the difficulties to reach your goal. This is the fight of a strong man. A physical fight and struggle to reach to a goal. If you want to achieve your goals (whether spiritual or personal) you need to put on a fight and that that very will to fight will pave the way for you to move forward on your chariot, as this warrior marches ahead conquering all obstacles. Changes and alterations can be brought on with will power and perseverance. This is what the Chariot stands for.

6. Where will you go from here?
Ace of Pentacles.
New beginnings; beginnings out of your control, like a gift from heaven being bestowed upon you. Aces are gifts in the form of new beginnings and the Ace of Pentacles stands for new opportunities in the physical and earthly realm. It is a new project, a new job, a new career. It is a reward for efforts; abundance for hard work.  It is about external and internal well being, to be cherished and enjoyed.

Allie, I don’t know you find this reading with regard to your questions about your own self and the ‘mistakes’ you reckon you should not repeat in the future.  As you have seen, we have personality traits and characteristics presented by three court cards. These certainly mean something about our own selves and our own personality traits and how we can amend or modify them to make us a different or a better person. You have one major arcana card with the Chariot and this shows a possible struggle ahead for you but one which, if you wish to persevere, will be blessed with success.

The cards have not indicated any re-union or a union with someone else, but having the Ace of Pentacles as a final outcome is one not to be ignored 

All the best to you my friend and I look forward to hearing from you.

Best wishes.

Hello Cedars,

what a great reading, thank you! I will be reading it carefully later.

You have just described me. I am so hard on the outside.
Honestly I believe I was very good on the relationship, he was the one having issues about commitment (recently divorced when we started, wife left him). We dated for about a year, it's been 4 months since the break up.
So we went from him asking me not to break up with him, to him saying he couldn't be as I wanted him to be, in a week time.

About the reading, I feel I have the best outcome I could have I feel I haven't found the way yet, but I am gazing at the right paths for personal growing.
Maybe what I need to learn from this is to 'let go', regain some self-steem and start to look at the world with new eyes?

you've been very kind to me Cedars, I appreciate that a lot.

all best for you, and will try and give you some more feedback when future readings of this reading you made for me.

love to you

Thank you very much for your prompt feedback.
I think you hit the nail on the wall.
I believe you should look after yourself from now on. When one is not ready (him) for commitment, no one can do it for them.
And, you should not waste your life waiting for him to realise if he is.

All the best to you dear lady
