Hi Sweetsunray,
I liked the spread that you have used for this reading, although I do not understand why certain spreads do not have their placement sequence in a sequence, if you see what I mean |
Totally, understand what you're saying

And because of these cards not following an actual "sequence" but end up visually combined with cards it otherwise wouldn't, you end up with a powerful image that makes things otherwise less visible stand out.

| Anyhow, I am getting cautiously into the Thoth deck, but I still cannot link in with them, e.g. the six of Cups to me does not say the same thing as the RW's six of cups. However, it is always good to see readings with other decks. |
You're right, they don't mean the same things. Crowley disagreed with Waite on several things. A good way to learn to tap into it, is by using both. Lay a spread with one of the two, and then when the cards are revealed, put the ones of hte other deck next to it. That's when you'll notice subtle shifts and stresses. It might give you a secure feeling for the one you're most familiar with, and while secure you start to explore alternative meanings to a same number of suits.

There is CERTAINLY a lot of EGYPT in Crowley's deck, isn't there?
Cheers. |
Yup, hence the Thoth deck

A lot of Greek as well, and sometimes someting Vedic.
