Dear Holborn
Last time you requested a reading after having come out of a relationship and there were one or two potential possibilities for another relationship and you asked for insights about that side only. Going back to it, the reading did not shed much light about that side of your question. When this happens, I usually believe that perhaps it is a no-go area or that should not be the priority in your life. Forgive me; this is only my personal view of readings.
Now, I see you are somehow in a situation different to last time but not any better.

| The same negative patterns repeat in my life with horrible friends, bad jobs and bad men. I was wondering if you see this changing in the near or distant future. |

| …but please note I have worked solidly to not victimise etc for over 3 decades- and it aint letting up! not looking for sympathy, but thought id let you know I have tried in regards to any advice. |
In my attempt to give you a predictive reading which seemed on both occasions your desire, I decided to use the Mystic Seven spread which, simply put, stands for:
What’s going on in your life now and the consequences of your actions and intentions?
I shuffled the cards and cut them into three groups and chose the third pile.
1. Your current situation.
Two of Wands.
A man standing on a terrace, one hand holding a wand, another wand already securely fastened to the wall and with the other hand he is holding a globe representing the world. He is looking towards the horizon full of ideas and intentions and a passion to achieve certain goals – almost wishing the world was his oyster. Despite your description of your current situation, I feel that you have made some choices and you know where you wish to be. One of the choices you have made I feel you have no doubts about; the other one you are holding and making sure that it stays as part of your plan. Number Two represents dualities. Whether you have made two choices or not, is irrelevant; the duality, I feel in this case, is between yourself and the world outside you. This is what you want or would like to achieve at the present time, but it does not necessarily mean you are taking any actions to materialise those aspirations. It is a pact within yourself that you have made which is the starting point of any step forward; the passion to move ahead.
2. Obstacles.
The High Priestess.
As soon as I looked at this card I got the words….
.you are in conflict with your own conscience… There is a struggle going on within your own soul and whilst wishing to find out all the answers (and that is the feeling I got when I read your post) I feel your efforts are being halted because of that very desire - to find out about the Future while the Two of Wands above is pushing you to put into action your dreams and aspirations. I also fee there is some kind of a fear within you that is not letting you move forward because perhaps you wish to know all the answers before taking any step towards the next move in your life. Holborn, when I look at the two cards so far, I do not feel you are sitting and lamenting
Oh, why me, Oh this happens to me….. I feel you know what you should do but you NEED to see all the answers NOW before taking any action. The High Priestess is that secret knowledge that is not going to be revealed to us until the time is ripe. Rightly or wrongly, when we are in a predicament and things are not going well in our life, we strive to find out what the future holds for us and that very state may stop us from moving forward. I feel this is where you may have a blockage in your current situation.
3. Your aspirations and goals.
The Magician.
To have the ability to do all that is possible – and more.
The Magician stands for opportunities, like an Ace – a gift from Heaven with all the possibilities to achieve things. He is the Achiever, he is the Doer (unlike the High Priestess, who is the silent and inactive spiritualist). The Magician takes all opportunities given to one and tries to make the best of the tools within his reach. He is the Action Man for whom there is nothing impossible. This is the second major Arcana card so far and it stands for your innermost desire to come out and be seen that you can do it; that you can succeed and that you are the Master of your own world.
4. What needs to be awakened?
The Hierophant.
A third Major Arcana card. This tells me two things and I will try and explain the best way I can:
If you have steered away form tradition and what society expects of you, then it is time to conform to those demands or necessities that society urges upon us. If you have been a non-conformist, perhaps you need to take a second look at the way you have conducted your affairs within your own small (or large) society.
The Hierophant also stands for life lessons; lessons of the earthly realm (unlike the High Priestess which stands for the spiritual realm). I feel perhaps there are things you still need to learn about yourself and what has been going on around you in your life. I am being directed to say…..learn from your mistakes. The Hierophant is the archetype of the old teacher, the religious leader, the high priest, if you like to put it that way. His aim is not to punish; he wants you to learn about life matters; matters relating to your daily life or even to start learning something new to bring you out of your current situation. He wants to guide you, if you would let him. He wants to teach you, if you would accept to learn.
5. What lies behind you?
The Emperor.
A fourth Major Arcana card.
There was this authoritative, all-powerful person in your past, which could have been you or your view on life. The lord and master of his own domain – his empire. This was the person or the qualities that lie behind you. Are you perhaps in conflict with the past and wanting to bring it back to the present? Should it remain in the past or could you make use of what the past stood for and bring it on to the future? I do not know Holborn. As this is the Past and you are not interested about the past, it is best sometimes to ponder about it and see if can shed some light on the present…… and possibly the future….. or just let it stay in the past?
6. The Next stage; what is to come?
The World.
A fifth Major Arcana card.
This is the last of the Major Arcana cards, number 21. It represents attainment, end of a cycle and end of a pattern of life. It represents fulfilment and arriving to a destination of completion. This is like saying… Ok, I’ve reached to my desired destination. Whilst your present desire is to have the world as your oyster (Two of Wands), the World card is giving you that gift and opportunity. Cycles and journeys come to an end Holborn, and the World card to me says a certain cycle in your life may be coming to and end and give you a new breath of life and a sense of accomplishment.
7. What will be the outcome?
Judgement.
A sixth Major Arcana card……( what is happening here??)
My friend, I see rebirth, clearing of the cobwebs of your life and starting afresh leaving the past and its debris all behind you. Judgement, as well as being ‘judged’ for the past, is the promise of a new way of life and a clean slate for the future. It is like the dead on judgement day being accounted for their deeds. Whilst with the World card we have accomplishment and attainment and coming to the end of a cycle, the Judgement to me indicates a clean start, a fresh view on life, but, a big BUT, no more of the old pattern, no more of the mistakes of the past. The old debris, the old baggage, so to speak, should be left in the past in order for you to embrace this new awakening.
I am absolutely amazed that out of a spread of seven cards, you got six Major Arcana cards. This to me indicates things are quite imminent and approaching a crescendo in your life – all ready to take place. It is good to pay attention to the Obstacle side of this reading and possibly what lies behind you. I also feel changes may be coming to you sooner than you expect.
So, be ready for them
I also feel it is an intense reading and a set of cards to digest.
I would love to hear from you if any of these made any sense to you.
With my best wishes to you.
