Hi Cedars, Can I have a tarot reading please ? It feels like I'm stuck in a rut . Things are just okay at work but I'm very bored with the daily routines . And I also feel so sad about the unluckiness in my love life which doesn't leave me . I had great hopes that love would find me this year. But it didn't . I feel so low for the holidays . I kind of lack the motivation to go on as nothing ever seems to change in my life . Each year I put on a happy face for the holidays and pretend like I don't feel very awful being single when all the family is together . Can I have a general reading for 2010 and any changes to expect ? Thanks.

I tried to link in with you after reading your request and this is before I lay the cards. I get the feeling that you are mainly stuck indoors. I sense you being in a closed environment, indoors; I don’t see you going out, mixing and socialising. I feel that the more you stay indoors the more you will feel this way and possibly hinder any chances of expanding your social circle.
I also feel in your current environment, where family is concerned, there is quite a lot going on with you; I don’t get the feeling that your family is concerned about you being single. They are still around you, they still love you, and they don’t view you as a failure because you are single. It is you who feels that way. I just see you solitary, in a corner, detached from the excitement around you. I know you’ve said this in your thread, but I cannot help but feel that the state you in is not doing you any good. I feel there is a mother figure around who is trying to get you out of this state of mind. You sort of say, Yes, Yes and you just stay where you are. I am being guided to tell you that the more you make a fuss about this situation, the more you cut yourself off from the world, the more you will feel depressed and not fulfil your desire. You are making this ‘not being attached to someone’ a much bigger issue than it is. The longer you go down this path, you will compound the situation and possibly delay things developing in your life.

I will refer to the cards now and let us stick to the near and medium term future. I don’t believe in a whole year’s reading. We have another Major Arcana card next to your Minor whereby - The Sun – promises success, progress and a form of rebirth in your mental attitude towards the future.

Advice.
The Emperor.
Ok. Here is a man of authority who has Control over his empire. To keep an empire in harmony and under control, one needs to have the will power of the Emperor, his foresight and ability to detach emotions from common sense. I feel the message for you with this card is manifold once you look at the cycles above. It is fine having wishes granted, it is fine moving on a step further in life, but you have to keep things under control for without that control and the power to stay on top of things, your achievements will probably go back to square one. This is not a threat my dear friend, but just a form of advice that you cannot be under the influence of the Devil for the rest of your life.

I was impressed to see in your reading that each minor Arcana card was complemented with a major card and to wrap it up the Advice card was a Major Arcana too. This tells me that in the backdrop of the mundane of your life, there is a major card to reinforce the potential. I hope you see the significance.

As for the timing, which you are probably deliberating in your mind, I couldn’t tell. I would just like to say take things in their stride and go with the flow. All I will ask you to do is to get rid of that bondage of ‘nothing is going right in my life’ thinking.

It's true that when I'm not working , I do go out for shopping but not for socialising . I mainly stay at home . I have no close friends to hang out with ..Nobody in my family tells me they are concerned that I'm single but I'm sure they do think about it . At my age I should be with someone. I feel kind of like a loser at times because of my single status :( I feel bad about it . I am a loner in a sense and can't bother to pretend to be happy when I have so many doubts going on in my mind . My mother tries to make me see the positive side to life as she knows I sulk a lot . I say yes but I don't really believe things will change now . I agree that I could be making this ‘not being attached to someone’ a much bigger issue than it is. I can't help it as I'm getting older and I know things will be even harder for me to accept next year.

Love/relationships is the thing represents the impossible dream for me now as each day goes by . Whenever I think of this , I feel down.I need to let go of hoping to find love or love finding me now ,it's becoming too hard . I need to free myself from the expectations .

I don't want to believe or hope anymore . I've been let down too many times. I am just living my life as it is.It's just the routine and going to work to earn a living . That's it. The only good thing that could happen to me it that I trully give up on love in my heart . That would be a relief . And also if I reach my career goals and find a more fulfilling job .

I wished I could attaing further education though I felt so sad that I've concentrated so many years on my studies and when I wanted love , I failed ..Need to find the strength to pursue my studies. If I get more responsibilies and more money at work , that would make up for my absent love life.

I will remember this advice . I'm also realizing day by day that it's time to let go.

I will try to get rid of this bondage but it's hard . My life is so boring and dull . I'm tired of pretending like everything is alright and not finding true happiness.

Yes it made sense Cedars especially about getting rid of my negative thinking . I hope I can achieve some succeess in my career even though I can't have it all . This will be the saving grace in my life.

Dear Dear Jlo

You are being so unkind to yourself about this love and romance business. You are such a valuable person in your own right, that taking this too hard upon yourself is simply bringing you down; and you know it is not the right way to go on about life.

Jlo, SO WHAT IF YOU ARE SINGLE? Is it the end of the world? And, let me assure you, you are still in your budding age of 26 and you are NOT OLD.

Sometimes we put too much emphasis on love and romance whilst forgetting all the other blessings we have in our life. Please have a look at your life and start counting ALL your blessings. Please do that. Take a piece of paper and write down all the positive aspects of your life; all your blessings and be honest about them.

And then see where love and romance comes in that list.

I think the Devil has really got you by its paws by bringing you down with hopelessness and despair. If you give up hope - while according to your reading is about to be revealed to you - then you may end up seeing the whole world from behind a dark veil.
