Dear Mia

I'm not sure if its a good idea..as in ..i will make some money for a living out of it or i will lose everything. i'd really appreciate a reading for my little business venture. |
This is a conditional question and I am not sure if tarot can answer a question such as this. Will it or will it not? You yourself are not sure if you want to go into self-employment and then you are also, of course, wondering if the business will make money.
Taking such an action, and at your young age is a risky business and I do feel for you and understand your fears and apprehension. I am assuming you have had advice from family and also hope you know the field of your intended business very well. There are so many other variables when going into your own business; pricing, competition, cost, marketing and all sorts. I am not trying to throw the cloud of doom and gloom here my dear Mia, but all I am saying is that if you are not so sure about it, what is the hurry? What is the deadline to start it after Christmas?

I’m trying really hard to start soon after Christmas, but i feel there might be delays or it might not happen at all...because i have no one to support me through this and i don't have much money or the skills to start something completely on my own.
i would really appreciate a reading if you can give me one. |
Here you have answered some of my questions above. Money and skills. I do not know what is the line of business you are planning to get into, but the lack of money and also the skills to get into this business is very important for its success.
I cannot ask the question if you will be successful or not – the answer to that has many variables and I am hoping to get some insights and guidance for you to make this project successful. I have therefore chosen a simple spread which looks at the energies and options surrounding you and what might you need for the way forward.
The question I am asking is: What are the current forces at hand for Mia with her project and what should she do to be successful at it?
I am using the Rider Waite deck.
1. You now.
Four of Pentacles.
You are currently holding on tight to your funds and financial resources, being careful not to splash out what you’ve got. I get the feeling you have turned your back to the pleasure side of life and are simply holding on and waiting. This card is known as the tight, ‘miser’ card in the tarot, but I do not get that feeling about your current situation. I feel you are holding on tight to what you have possibly saving it for your project and, hence, may be viewed as the tight-fisted miser at times.
2. Forces and energies around you now – those which you may or may not be aware of.
Five of Pentacles. Eight of Cups. Four of Wands.
Things have not been and possibly are still not easy around you financially (Five of Pentacles). You feel sometimes you are all alone in the cold with no helping hand or guidance coming your way. Fear of failure or financial doom surrounds you, but I also feel you wish to be ahead of the game and move forward against all the difficulties. You cling to the hope that things will work out and you try not to lose faith. I feel there will be a need for you to leave a certain situation behind (Five of Cups) and go on seeking new opportunities. What you may leave behind is not necessarily broken, but perhaps it is not working for you and you need to try your hand elsewhere. This is not an easy task and it will leave you with doubts and trepidation if you are doing the right thing or not. However, after the stress is gone, there will be reason to celebrate (Four of Wands) with friends and family when you see the fruits of your hard work paying dividends.
3. Energies/options around you for the way forward.
Ace of Wands. Page of Wands. Strength.
There are new beginnings for you (Ace of Wands) in the area of new projects, new ideas and creative thoughts coming your way like a gift from heaven. These new beginnings are signified by the passion that they incite within you by the sheer element of their suit – Fire. These new beginnings can be related to a new project about which you will be very passionate and it will guide you to use your creative ability to make a success of it. There is another aspect of these new ventures coming your way (Page of Wands) by messages and activities which involve once again either a new job, possibly someone of a fiery temperament and a get-up-and-go in him or her bringing a contribution to accelerate the promise of the Ace of Wands. This Page can be a person entering your life, or an idea coming to you, or even an adult with the passion and the zest of a young one about life. Could that be you I wonder..? I don’t like doing this, but I know what you are thinking. When, you might be asking, will happen all this? Wands are related to the season of Summer, especially the Ace of Wands. I hope this make sense to you.
After the feeling of doom and fear, we have a major arcana card here – Strength – which will come to you to support you in your new venture. This is the inner strength of mind and the ability of handle situations with wisdom and tenacity, just like the lady who is handling the lion with calm and the inner faith in herself that she can do it.
4. Outcome/Advice.
The Fool. Ace of Swords.
New beginnings, new horizons to explore and a fearless frame of mind which also makes one take risks and not worry too much about the consequences. There are two sides to the Fool: the fearless and the risk-taker and the careless adventurer who goes off into the open world not knowing what is there. I would hope with the Ace of Swords and the Strength, you will be able to discern and recognise what is a risk and what is a calculated step forward.
I hope this gave you some insights about your questions, Mia, and I do hope you find the message of the cards helpful.
Best wishes to you.
