Thank you so much for taking the time to do this reading. Really appreciate it.
I am not a religious person and I don't believe in past life either. However, I do believe in fate, destiny whatever you call it.
but, I respect your opinion.

| Hope this reading helped you to understand what impact this man may have in your life. |
*embarrassed* No, I didn't understand. I know i sound really stupid...sorry! but I honestly I didn't understand.
If you have the time, would you mind helping me understand this?
Are all the cards, and the entire reading specifically addressing this man and the effect this man could have and has had in my life?
If yes, then i think it makes sense that card 3 in past position reflects devotion to this man at an emotional level, though i doubt it is strength..its probably my weakness.
If the card is not related to this man, then it makes me happy that i am percieved as strong.
You categorize the rest of the cards as Work. Is it work that i need to do, in order to understand what this man represents in my life?
5 of disks: financial difficulty? does this card have another meaning? because, i am ok financially. ..but this man is doing very well in his career and i think is quite strong financially.
Under the same category, is the empress and queen of pentacles. I think i understand this as qualities i must embrace(work to do).
The outcome: King of wands; is he the same man we are discussing?
well, whoever he is, fom the description it appears that if i hang on to this man, he is going to leave me eventually to target another fool like me :(
The result: I will end up like the woman in that card. :(
and what opportunity is going to be lost? *confused*
Thanks again. When you find time please help me understand this.

The question I asked was what you could learn from having this man in your life. And so all of the cards relate to this question about this man and his impact on your life. The 3 cards that directly answer why he is in your life, or what you can learn from involving yourself, is answered by the 3 work cards... if you are involved with him then these 3 are your work/growth potential as a consequence of it.
Strength is a Major Arcana card, showing an influencing force or the lesson under which you acted or felt. Strength shows a woman stroking a lion. The lion stands for our instincts, including sexual instincts (especially in relationship readings). The woman keeps the lion pacified with her female sexual power, but also kindness, and fearlessness. It's a card that shows how a woman can attract a man in a sexual sense. Since it's in the "past" position, it shows that some flirting or seducing has already taken place, and that you were in control at the time.
The Work cards are the three lessons you can learn by involving yourself with this man somehow. Just because of which cards it turned out to be, I see the 5 of disks as the tough lesson that will follow from having this man in your life, and the other 2 as aids, assets or advice to help you cope with the 5 of disks.
I believe I did mention an alternative meaning to solely financial difficulty for the 5 of disks... I also mentioned isolation and co-dependency. The couple of the card is shut out of the church, or choses not to seek its help... whatever the cause, the couple of 5 of disks, is alone by themselves outside of society, supporting each other. A couple can be finiancially poor, but could also be spiritually poor, or just poor in friends because shunned by society for some reason (age differences, gender choices, different backgrounds, different cultures or countries). This shunning can create a "us against the world" feeling of uniting. The third possibility is co-dependency, a relationship pattern where both partners support the other in continuing a negative habbit, because it makes the one dependent of the other. Lastly, in general the card appears to signal the querent (that is you) has a lot of worries and insecurities about the relationship.
If the man you queried about has the qualities of the King of Wands then the King of Wands refer to him. The card does not say what he does. I simply described the personality traits: a man of action. All I said was that such a man is impulsive and restless, because he needs action (I did not say he would go after a new woman). The question for you is whether you want and a guy of actions and accept the impulsiveness that necessarily comes with it?
The 2 of swords is but a result in a foreseeable time. It is not an end. And she has the power of what state she is in herself. It is she who choses to put on a blindfold and hold up 2 swords in defense... she does this because of confusion, between her mind and heart. The card suggests there is internal trouble if you avoid making a choice, there is trouble if you choose not to commit or open your heart. For others it would appear as if you are without feelings, because that is what you want to project, while underneath the surface you are very emotional.
The future is not set, World. So, the next phase of the relationship does not need to end with 2 of swords before going to the next phase. The cards only say that it is a likely route you might take, and they suggest how you can deal with it instead.
So, as a whole, it seems important to draw on the Empress and Queen of Pentacles, and to make an active choice and follow your heart, rather than stay passive and impose control on your heart.
I would even say the Empress is the general force this connection with him is reigned by: you have 3 major arcana cards in the reading, and Major 3 is the Empress. So, the lessons you can learn from being with this guy involve your creativity, being in harmony with your environment, finding beauty if life and mothering (all issues related to the Empress). He represents personal growth in your life.

Thank you for your prompt reply. I have more things to ask from the same reading. My previous post was all scattered and confused. I thought i understood this feeling very well, but i realize that I need to figure some things within me before i seek outside. I will write back in just a little while.
Thank you.

sorry, i took longer than i said i would. I needed more time to figure things in my head..Not sure if i have figured it all though..
My idea of a soulmate is quite different. I believe that a soulmate doesn't necessarily have to be your partner, he may just come in your life to teach you something, which at that point maybe necessary for your own personal development, making him significant that way.
of course it hurts if you can't be with him, and we tend to question why he had to teach you something, that you can only carry forward to your next relationship, but do not get the chance to be together with him and learn with him. I think i was seeking an answer to this through tarots. we get answers in the abstract, conceptualizing and making sense of it is not all that easy.
I also believe that there is no "one" soulmate, there may be many.
I also believe in luck, and i have felt many times that i am not so lucky as many others are. I have missed opportunities simply by not being in the right place at the right time.
I am not sure if this person is my soulmate or not. I am not sure if the strong feelings for him are indications of anything significant. the attraction maybe just that..attraction. I may have nothing to learn from him after all.
The question you asked the tarots, already presumes that there is something to learn from this man. the reading shows that there really is something to learn..so, i guess he is significant some way. Had you asked a different question, would the reading still show that there is something to learn? of course every relationship is an experience in itself. but i am not refering to those experiences and lessons from those expereinces. I was asking about the more significant changes in a persons life, which mostly is associated with soulmate experiences.
moving on to the spread, card 1 through 4, refers to how i fell for this man. ok. The following cards however, seem more complicated. It appears as if these lessons are only if i get involved..or are they regardless of that?
Thank you for clarifying the 5 of pentacles. I notice they are a couple in the card, and you also make a mention of "us" instead of "you". Does that mean "both together" or is one person taking on more misery than the other? Is there a sense of regret in either of them?
You said the work cards are the 3 lesson i might learn from him, and considering the 5 of pentacles card you took the other two as cards which advise me to take in their qualities to deal with the misery of the 5 of pentacles. In your first post you say, the empress advises you to learn from the opportunity of the 5 of pentacles. But, thats a card of misery of some kind, are you implying that you reap what you sow? and is the queen card advising to be practical and not give in to emotions?
see, this brings us straight to the 2 of swords. this woman has to make a choice.
Then again, you say it would be wise to open your heart. Is the two of swords an advise to follow your heart?
In conclusion is it, follow your heart, regardless of the consequences there might be.
In your second post though, you say the empress is the force this connection with him is reigned by and that he represents growth in my life. is it that despite the difficulties, its a still a relationship of value?
I don't know if he has the qualities of the king of wands. If the whole reading is about him, why should he be in the outcome card? He is creative and has strong leadership qualities. I don't know about the adventurous streak or his impulsive nature. i don't know him that well.
You may clarify these if you want to. If you don't have the time, it's ok with me. I understand clarifying the same reading over and over can be annoying. I know i have to do my part of work in applying these cards to my situation and make sense of it. I will try.
Thank you.
