Hi, well this big election is going on and one of the candidates are going to be chosen to be in a position of authority and responsibility, with their leadership skills. I am one of the candidates and would wish to take up this position.I am well aware of the responsibilities that comes with great power, I wish to know if the results will be positive and if this is the right choice to make, I am just stressing about the future, because what if I am not up to the task? I would affect a lot of people in a negative way.
I understand a leader needs to have confidence, but I guess this is a blemish of mine. Please just choose the most appropriate type of tarot reading and most appropriate deck for the job.
So my questions are:
How will I do for the election? and If I do take up this position, what would my life be like and how would other people be affected?
I am worried about this choice, because this is a life changing event that not only affects me, but others too, I'd rather the leadership to go to the right person and if I am that person, I am willing to compromise to help others.

My dear friend Silvio,
There are a lot of if’s and what if’s as well as lack of confidence about the path you have embarked on. I am afraid I am not so sure if it is a reading that you need. When there are a few if’s in a question, I would not be so sure if the cards would answer it that way.
First and foremost, whilst you know the responsibility that lies with this ‘leadership’ position, you are full of self-doubt and trepidation. We all have that element of doubt when we embark into something new, but forgive me Silvio, I sense that element of self-doubt is rather strong within you.
Why did you embark into this in the first place; to prove something to yourself or to your surroundings? Was it something you were pushed into and you had no choice but to go ahead with it?

I’m afraid there are again a few conditional questions here.
How will you do for the election? You are asking if you will be elected or not?
I’m afraid you will do as well as you have given for the campaign. I am not going to ask the cards a prophetic question; I am sorry. You should calm down and wait for the results. If you are successful and are elected as the leader, then your task would be to get rid of these self doubts, be open about them within yourself, embrace the new path which your electorate has entrusted in you and go forth doing the best that you can.
For now, the only thing you can do is sit and wait. There is no point any of us prophesising on the outcome of this election, as the answer can only be a yes or no. I, for one, am not going to play the cards to ask this question. The reason for this (and please forgive me if it comes across a bit cruel) is that your election to this position is not the question at hand; it is your ability and willingness in yourself and self-confidence. If you succeed, you will have a great task ahead of you to fulfil your promises. If you fail, you will have the experience and the lessons to do a lot better next time. The most important for you will be to learn from these experiences- successful or not. The stakes here are not your election (or not) to the position; they are what lessons you can learn from this experience and how you can mature inwardly and hence make an impact on those who would have elected you.
I’d say sit and wait for the result. If you are successful, give it your utmost best without compromising your dignity and individuality. If you don’t succeed, learn and mature from this experience and I am sure you will be full of confidence next time round.
Please let us know how things work out for you.
Best wishes to your own personal and spiritual growth.
Blessings.

Thanks for the reply and wisdom, yes it's true I am nervous, because I have never been in a position like this before, why do I want to be in this position?
not to control everyone and everything, but help people around me, to feel good about themselves, I get along with everyone there and I care for 'em, I wanna be a type of inspiration, a friend to them , someone they could always trust and depend on, I will still treat them just as equal as me if given the power, I value .
I am aware of my lack of confidence, however, what leader is perfect? or any human being for that matter, I think it's all about the beliefs, values and morals of an individual that determines whether he has good leadership or not, confidence just helps enforce and express the leader's viewpoint.
I know I'm not perfect and I wanna be 100% truthful to all of them, so I don't give off an artificial vibe and they can make a decision without any manipulation, just honesty.
You see, I don't care if I don't get the leader position, I understand that it'll just be a learning experience, as you've mentioned, but I really want to help out my friends and the people I care for, "With great power, comes great responsibility" that I know and I'm willing to sacrifice things and devote myself into being a good and likable friend to everybody, my lil definition of "leader".
Thanks again for your input.
May I change the question then?
What kind of person am I? First step to being a leader is understanding yourself, so you can understand others, maybe this is the reason why I have little confidence. Please, would you lend me your tarot reading abilities?

Hello Silvio
I understand completely the comments you have made. And, moreover, my posting to you was in no way meant to be a criticism of some sort. Your desire to help others is very commendable and I am sure you will be great at it too.
I am wondering; can’t you help your friends and others in the current state where you are? Does being a ‘leader’ enhance your ability to help others and in what way?

Please forgive me, but I am getting a little bit concerned about your statement: I'm willing to sacrifice things and devote myself into being a good and likable friend to everybody. Why do you think you are not a ‘good’ and a ‘likeable’ person or a friend? Where is this stemming from? Why should you want to be that to EVERYBODY? We cannot be ‘likeable’ to the whole world my friend; it is simply not possible. In your quest to become ‘good’ and ‘likeable’ to everybody I see a great philanthropy there, but at the same time I am little bit worried about the quest to being liked by every body.
I have taken the liberty of changing your question to – What are the qualities I need or what should I do to be a good leader?
I picked three cards based on the above question from the Rider Waite deck.
Six of Cups.
The Magician.
Eight of Wands.
The immediate impression I am getting is for you to be in touch with the ‘child’ within you. Have fun, be playful and don’t aspire to grow up far too quickly. I sense that this leadership role has given you some ideals which you are aspiring to, whilst leaving behind or ignoring the fun part of life. Whatever it was in your childhood that stopped you from being a child or a boy, I feel I need to tell you that it is ‘all right’ to have fun along the way. Don’t take life too seriously.
There will be on offer for you all the means and tools to get where you want, as the Number One, The Magician, the giver of the four elements: Swords, Wands, Cups and Pentacles will put at your disposal for you to choose and make the best for your own success. Take the Magician as the doctor to whom you go when you feel down, but you don’t know the reason why. I feel the message of the Magician here is saying that you are too engrossed in your own mind whether you will be good at this or that… whilst all the time you have the tools to work with each and every one of them as you choose. Ask, and it will be given, but use the tools wisely. In fact, the Magician is a leader, he is The Leader, who would delegate, guide and give counsel to people. After that, it is up to the people to take his advice or reject it. Under which light do you see yourself with the Magician? Do you see it as the one with all the resources and tools to achieve his ambitions? Or, do you already see yourself as the Leader passing on the tools to others to make a go of them in their life? Or both?
Things are ‘brewing’ as though there is a pot of plans, passions, projects and ideas that are in the making but they have not come to fruition yet. The result is imminent, but not quite ready yet. All those plans, like the eight wands in the air, have not touched earth yet. All will be revealed in due course and rather soon, I’d say. This could be the result of the elections or some news about which you feel passionately. If it is in your favour, would you take it with the tools and resources given to you by the Magician? Or, if you have to work more towards it, would you, again, use all that the Magician has to offer?
The answer(s) to my question were given by the above three cards and I hope they made sense to you in the current state you find yourself in.
I look forward to hearing from you.
Best wishes for your own, personal development.

Three perfect cards for you Silvio Lovely reading Cedars.
I hope you both don't mind me adding that you remind me of myself Silvio, when I applied for a leadership position at University. Ask yourself if you really want the position and if you do then go for it, with all your strength, heart and mind otherwise you do yourself an injustice.

I disagree - leaders do not have to understand themselves at all, but they have to realise that they don't understand or know everything, and be open to suggestions, and other views. They do have unique drive though, self motivation, and of course they lead, from the front! Confidence does not really come into it either, that can be gained and worked on with techniques.
Go for it
