Dear Muffin
| Quote: |
I feel as if my life is at a standstill.
What I'd like to know, if possible, is will this feeling change? And if so, when?

Oh, far from it. I don’t see your life at a standstill. You are marching forward with your education and at the right time (and place) things will come to fruition, only to lead you on to the next stage of your life. Life is hardly at a standstill; it just gives us a break or goes off on holiday of some sort, if you see what I mean.
When I tried to link in with you, I saw, indeed, solitude around you. I am not saying ‘loneliness’ as these are two different situations. By that I got the feeling that perhaps you keep yourself to yourself and do not venture out, meet your friends or even make new ones. People beget people, I suppose, and the more you interact and mingle, the more there will be a chance to meet people or that one special person. There are times or phases in our life where we do not feel like mingling or socialising a lot; nothing wrong with that. These cycles do change and when it is time, we sense that and get on with it.
In answer to your question, ‘will this feeling change?’ I do not need to pick a card for it, as I am sure you know this feeling will change. As a fellow cancerian, I understand too well what you are going through and how questions such as the one you have asked, bring us down and surround us with some despair.
I will, however, ask the cards as to when this feeling will change or what should you do to bring about change to these feelings? I am using the Rider Waite deck.
Eight of Cups.
The picture in this card is a man turning his back to eight standing cups and going forward searching for new ideals and possibilities. Whilst there isn’t much wrong in his life, having eight cups standing upright, but somehow there is no balance or equilibrium to them. There is something not right. There are many ways we can bring balance to the eight cups: either by putting them up in two groups of four or in four groups of two; that choice is yours and you know best how to bring about that sense of symmetry. Whatever or wherever that imbalance lies in your life, I would say once you bring it into a fine perspective, I would say those feelings will probably only change then. The timing factor of this is in your own hands.
I have no doubt my dear Muffin that this feeling will change.
I also asked the cards what insights and options you should consider to bring about changes in your current situation. You be the best judge as to which aspects of your life has spirit answered through the cards.
Queen of Pentacles.
A fine, loving and a benevolent lady in your life (or coming into your life) either a mother figure, sister, or even a non blood related person, who will be willing to give you a helping hand morally or financially. She has that financial ability to help and does not come across as someone who makes a big deal about it. Whenever I see the Queen of Pentacles, I am always filled with a feeling love, tenderness and modesty that her impact in the querent’s life cannot be anything but positive.
The Moon.
A sense of fantasy or illusion surrounds you at times and, typical of your birth sign, where the moon can have a huge impact on your moods and the way you see life around you. When we get the Moon and its impact on us, we can ride the waves and come out the other side when things will definitely look clearer to us or go through the possible setbacks of depression. When you are hit with such a frame of mind, the best thing to take into consideration is that it is a passing phase. As confused and lonely this may make you feel, not knowing which way to go and what path to take, believe me it is in your mind. Come the morning, when the sun is up, the situation will look totally different and will fill you with hope and a positive attitude. The appearance of this major Arcana card is a message for you to take into consideration that probably you will have moments of despair and illusive thoughts and ideas, but be aware that it is a passing phase.
Two of Cups.
This is the card of unions or reunions, duality, making new acquaintances and friendships. The coming together of two people whether it is a new found friendship, or the reunion of an on old friendship or a romantic situation. It is a pledge that two people make to seal their friendship, love or even a business association by way of working together for a common cause.
Whichever this is going to be in your life, may it bring much happiness to you.
I hope these insights meant something for you and it would be good to hear back from you.
In the meantime, I wish you all the best, love and light.
