I think Cedars put the ball in your court, very mildly, and tactfully. Some of us, aren't that patient.

I wonder, in your country, do you have orhanages? Did you know, that those kids have nothing and no-one? Have you ever heard of "foster-care"

In this sense, i don't mean that you must get children on say "lay-buy" or "test" period. Go, and enquire, surely somewhere, you will find one kid, whose heart you can make happy! Then, no more tug-o-war. Spend the money you did on "luxuries" for the sisters kids on essentials for an orphan.

Start by having a kid for weekends only, but always the same one, give that kid a place they can one day call "home"

I want to tell you a story;
There was a greengrocer, getting a bit on in his years, every day there used to be some children playing around, but there was a few, that had to beg for food.

These kids used to come to him everyday and ask for something to eat. So what he did, is to give them some veggies and ask each one to pay him with a marble.

So, they came everyday and everyday he gave them veggies and said "this is the wrong coloured marble, find another one" and of they went with the veggies and the wrong coloured marble. And everyday the same would happen!

One day, this man died. At the funeral was three young well-dressed men, 3 brothers. Instead of a flower, they each put one marble and one letter. Thank-you for keeping our family alive!

And, girl, this, is a true story!!!

If your desire and love is towards children, you might as well invest your energies and love towards a child or children who may be grateful to you one day. And, please don't tell me your sisters' children mean no harm to you. At the end of the day, whatever happens, your sisters' children will take their mothers' side - not yours. Tough, but true.

I had written a long post in response here. I deleted it because, after writing i felt i discussed a lot of my feelings in the post, and since its a public board, i felt a little uncomfortable after posting.

And who the hell told you you couldnt do that?????? (sorry for my language). OF COURSE you can give love and affection to your children and adopted ones too. You are a person in your own right and your nieces and nephews, as much as we love them, have parents of their own. Why not experience your own parenthood which you will be very good at?
