No idea about the software, I prefer to read with the cards, but in ansswer to your question the TdM or Tarot De Marseille is a very old French deck, very basic pictures for the 22 majors and just pictures of swords, cups or wands etc for the minors, this makes it very hard to read without memorising. The Rider Waite is far easier as it has a picture on every card.

I agree with Xia...... Tarot de Marseilles is very basic with the images not emanating any thought or feeling (for me personally). It is best that you start learning the tarot with the Rider Waite Original or Universal deck.
Use the software to learn the cards and so on, but not for readings. I personally believe machines/softwares cannot do readings... The human touch is very important.
