Dear Jennine

As I read your post, I tried to link in with you and the current situation you are in at present and I was made aware of your husband and the words affliction and addiction came to me. I felt he is running away from his responsibilities to his household whether morally or financially – or both. When I said the word ‘addiction’ I sensed him to be in some kind of ‘out of control’ and he is finding it ‘easier’ on his own without the burden of responsibilities around him. He is too ashamed to look back for the way he has abandoned you at the present time. I don’t think he is a bad person, but more of a troubled person…


I also picked up five cards from the Rider Waite and will try and look into your situation.

1- Situation: The Tower.
As you have pointed out Jennine, things have been crumbling around you and the old ‘order’ is about to be toppled from the top where it once may have looked and felt like the jewel in the crown. The collapsing of the tower means that things could not have prevailed as they have been for a while and an overhaul, a fundamental change is required. It is not a pleasant situation to be in but one that is necessary. This change itself will grant you the strength to be able to go through with it. I feel you are ready for this overhaul and total transformation and that is the reason why it is presenting itself to you now.

2- What you do know: Queen of Pentacles.
This is a humble and a loving lady in your life (mother, auntie, boss or landlady) who is financially secure and will, in turn, give you financial assistance when asked. However she has come to money, she is modest about her good fortune and uses that with love rather than arrogance. Astrologically this lady is an Aquarian and you are aware that she is there for you, but I just don’t know why you may be hesitant to call on her for assistance. Could this woman know your husband’s whereabouts? Could she be the answer to your financial problems? Please do approach her.

3- What you don’t know: The Lovers.
The Tower card sits between the Queen of Pentacles and the Lovers.
What you do not know is where your husband is and what is he up to? On one hand you wish that he’d be protected by the angels and on the other hand you also wish that he would get rid of his demons and decide to come home. Do you give him the chance to make that choice or do you need to make a choice yourself in this? I sense that his disappearance is as much related to the Tower card as your current situation. Whilst he may have been through some hardship, but I feel you cannot forgive the fact that he has been gone all this time.

4- What you could do (advice): Knight of Pentacles.
This is another person in your life (or his personality traits applicable to you at present). This is a young man who, like our Queen above, has got a financial head on his shoulders, but he is somewhat of a slow-mover. He sees potential, possibilities, but he does take his time before making any decisions in bringing those potentials into fruition. He considers and reconsiders ten times before he goes ahead with his plans. Could it mean that before you make up your mind about an issue, that you need to sit back and decide carefully, or if you take too long in your considerations and assessment of a situation, that the bird of opportunity might fly away? 5- Outcome: Ace of Wands.
New beginnings, a blessing from heaven…… almost the prize for your patience and hard work coming your way. This is one of new ideas, new passion, a new job, something about which you will feel so passionate that it may open new doors and opportunities for you. This is fiery kind of a passion that makes you do things out of the ordinary because you have all those ideas buzzing inside your head and you will be able to express them verbally and in action. Could it be that the patience of the Knight of Pentacles or his meticulous approach may bring about this outcome?
