I read with regular playing cards.. which is why i haven't been posting much on this section...

I've been dating a guy and talking a lot... and I'm starting to have feelings for him, but I don't think he shares the same feelings toward me.

I asked my cards, "Is he trying to hurt me?"  and this is the spread I got...




I have my interpretation set firmly in my head, but I would like to see what outside readers think about it as well....  I plan to back away from him, if I see any danger of having my heart broken, i've had it hurt far too much already.

this is called the square of nine spread... it's really simple.. you read it as combinations in groups of three going horizontally, vertically, and diagonally.

I think when you ask for assistance regarding basic Cartomancy, the position of the cards or groups should also be explained, some of us are not all that experienced with using ordinary playing cards, or let me say, i've got very little knowldge or experience. A feeling I get or lets say a maybe is that you may find a more grounded atmosfere and that there is a possibility of having a good relationship, although it seems as if yhere is a competitor hanging around or getting to close for comfort? The Queen of Cups(Hearts) also describe a secure or truthfull situation or environment in which you may feel safe.

I am not familiar with ordinary playing cards lylakpetals, but it does look interesting and yet I may have to subscribe to Payewaker's opinion that there are two women (Queens) in this spread: one of the Hearts and the other of Diamonds. If you may be the Queen of Hearts, would that Queen of Diamonds be another woman, perhpas a bit older than you playing in the middle?
My brain works too much in tarot terms of images and personalities..... and am afraid I could only look at the Queens in here rather than the numbers.

I agree with cedars, This spread is showing Me Me Me and not him him him, I think you should rephrase your question to something like,
What are his intentions in our relationship, Is there a relationship,
Pull a him spread, see his mind, Then go back and see yours,

This spread is telling me more of what you determine needed in a relationship and You're always expecting the 6 of spades reversed,
Ask yourself what is your love language,.. What do you expect from others when showing their love/feelings,
