Hello Stacers
It is difficult for any one of us to tell you what to do or what is your true vocation in life. If I told you “follow your instinct or gut feeling”, you will probably think: I KNOW that; don’t tell me something that I don’t already know. And if your instincts are blank and not talking to you for the moment, I would suggest just taking time out and pondering about it for a while until you see what you are drawn to. Whatever you are ‘drawn’ to, I would think it is your intuition or your higher self guiding you to it.
And if I said I think you should seriously consider nursing, who am to tell you that?
I also picked some cards for you from the Rider Waite and using a spread called Situation: “Known & Unknown”.
Card 1: Situation: Death.
This is depicted by Death in his battle armour, riding gently on a white horse, leaving behind the fallen empires and kingdoms and being greeted by a priest and children wearing garlands on their head and the sun shining bright on the horizon. This is not war, nor is it victory over evil; this is simply saying something has to die, a chapter has to close, before a new one is opened. I am getting a distinct feeling of a situation of ‘confusion’ which has to come to an end in order for something to start afresh.
Card 2: What you do know: The Tower.
Well, we seem to be on a similar track here as the above whereby a huge change needs to take place, a total transformation of a situation, which in itself can feel daunting and sometimes insurmountable. But these changes have to occur in order to get rid of any preconceived ideas, castles built in the sky or in our imagination, a situation that has not been working for you or is no longer beneficial for your purposes. Only then, after the debris of this falling tower has disappeared, will you be able to see the situation in its true light. Sometimes we resist change because we are so used to what is familiar. But once that change comes about and its effects are behind us, we feel a lot lighter and we see the way through. The Tower is one of those cards, which heralds a change, a transformation which we are in need of in order to move forward to the next step.
Card 3: What you don’t know: Six of Pentacles.
A man, a benefactor of some sort, holding a scale with one hand and giving money with the other to two people kneeling in front of him. This is the give-and-take card. It is saying something about you or to you about which you may not be consciously aware. Have you been giving far too much recently and perhaps it is time to receive? Or, have you been taking too much of late and perhaps it is time to start giving back? It is a complex situation and there is some kind of a two-sidedness to this card: am I giving too much and not receiving anything for it, or am I taking too much and not giving anything back? Only you know the true meaning of this card and whatever its message is for your situation right now.
Card 4: What you could do (Advice): Ten of Swords.
It is almost a state of having reached the end of the line. All is against me and there is nothing I can do to win the situation, like this man lying on the floor with ten swords piercing on his back. The sky high above him is dark. But, mind you, only it is the sky high above which is the dark bit. He may feel that he cannot handle it anymore; he may feel that all is lost and he cannot rise to the challenge, but another glance simply reveals that he is lying next to a blue lagoon and the sun is rising on the horizon ahead. Whilst you may think that you’ve got no options left, that the world may have turned against you and you are at your lowest low, it is not true though. Look at the hope-inspiring blue waters right next to you and the rising sun which is so ready to bless you with is warm rays and clear all the darkness away from your thoughts.
Card 4: Possible Outcome: Ten of Wands.
Another Ten – completion, end of a cycle - and this time it is the element of Fire: of energy, creative ideas, passion and desire. Here is a man carrying on his shoulders ten wands and heading home. He has worked hard, he has been on his own on this journey and it has not been an easy one. But to me I see the ten wands, that he is so laboriously carrying on his shoulders, all the hard work he has endured and it is time to reap the benefits of his hard work. He is taking them home which on the horizon is a beautiful building surrounded by green fields and high trees: that is his aim, his dream house, his final station.
I know what you’re thinking Stacers: that does not answer my question about what major to choose in my further education. All the cards here indicate a state of confusion, indecision and some major changes which may be necessary to implement for you to get a clearer picture of the energies that lie ahead for you.
In all honesty, I did not expect the cards would give a clear-cut message such as, “Yes, you should do this or No you should not do that.” No one can or should tell you that. I think the last card is telling you in a profound way that it is time you took stock of your situation and the education you have acquired. Give heed to the powerful fire energy of the Wand suit, the imaginative and creative aspect of the suit and what it triggers within you.
As a final step, I picked an angel card for you and here is their message:
Leila:
“Spend time alone in nature, meditating about your desires and intentions. Ask the angels to help you gain positive perspective.”
I hope the above made some sense to you in your current situation and I would love to hear from you.
Blessings to you.
