Dear AnaCaro
When I read your request and tried to link in with you, I saw you hurriedly flicking through the pages of a book looking for answers. You stop at a page, thinking you have found it, and then continue to the next page and the next. It seems to me whenever you think that you have found an answer, you still need to search and search, that it is driving you crazy. You close the book and put it down between your hands and look upwards for your answers. A light shines above you, not a hugely bright one at first, but it keeps growing to cover you and give you the clarity that you need.
I also picked seven cards for you from the Rider Waite using the Horseshoe Spread.
The Past: Ten of Cups.
It looks to me that you’ve had it all in the past: family bliss, happiness and the contentment of love and all that every human being imagines and dreams of having by way of harmony, love and happiness. This is what is represented by the Ten of Cups, which mainly signifies a harmonious family life surrounded with loved ones. If your past is not related with such a situation, it must have still meant, in a different corner of your life, but one of contentment, happiness and harmony.
The Immediate Present: The Lovers.
A powerful Major Arcana card referring to love, romance and matters of the heart but I get the feeling that this is more on a rather detrimental side of your life. Deriving from the bliss of the past and coming to the present, still within the same context, dare I say someone here has to make a choice about a certain situation? Is this you who has to make a choice or review the present situation under a different light? Is the bliss of the past in jeopardy by the inclusion of a third person I wonder? Whilst a positive card on its own, I just can’t help feeling that it is presenting a major threat in your current situation or a situation that has you wonder which way to go. It has taken over your heart whether it is towards another person or a route in life, that you feel you must have it even if it may jeopardise a current situation.
The Immediate Future: Eight of Pentacles.
Here is a man working hard at his job and gathering coins and knowledge to further his career. He does not look around; he does not waste time, but rather gathers knowledge to give him enough ammunition for the task ahead. Could this be that you need to keep calm and gather enough knowledge about the situation you find yourself in, in order to get some answers or the tools to find a solution to it? This is quite a dedicated man to the task at hand and will not be distracted by any outside influences to get himself up on the ladder of finance or learning the facts and figures on a certain situation.
Something occupying the querent’s mind (you need to be aware of how this fits in with this situation): Queen of Cups.
A court card, which means either a person in your life (or coming into your life), or the qualities of such a person affecting your life. This could be the qualities that you lack or perhaps qualities that you have and need to keep it under control. The Queen of Cups is a motherly figure, quite intuitive, psychic, sometimes dreamy and in a world of her own. She is spiritual and a loving mother to her children. She is a water sign (Scorpio). When I look at her, I feel some kind of sadness surrounding her; this could be perhaps because she is clairsentient thus making her very sensitive to the events going around her that she just goes within herself. If we are going to apply this to you or to your situation, let me put it to you that if such behaviour is making your task a lot more difficult, then perhaps you need to dismantle some of these qualities and adopt a more practical approach. Or, if you are too practical, perhaps you need to go within and see things on a spiritual level and go by your intuition.
The attitude of Others, Hopes and Fears: Four of Pentacles.
This is saying that you are being viewed as someone who has turned her back to the world, holding on to her last resources – almost like a miser – and not giving in to the pressures around her. Perhaps you fear not to let go and the need to hold on to your assets, resources and belongings until times change or until you are ready to extend your wings further a field. The very hope that you wish to feel free from restrictions, makes you fear how you might handle it once it presents itself to you and, therefore, we have the forthcoming card…..
An Obstacle: Ace of Wands.
If you view this as an obstacle, then it will surely act as one for the steps ahead. This is a new beginning for you whereby the universe will bless you with new opportunities of energy, creativity and working power in order to realise your dreams and ideas. Those ideas are beginning to sprout on a wand and it will be up to you to give them life and continue by utilising the power of the Ace of Wands. This is a fire energy that presents itself to you. I would say it will be up to you how you receive and handle this new opportunity: if you see it as an obstacle, then it will be one. If you see it as a new beginning, then it will take you further in your endeavours.
The Final Outcome: Queen of Pentacles.
Another queen we have here which could either mean the appearance of someone new into your life, or someone who is already in your life and is going to bring about her contribution to your situation. Or, that you need to apply her qualities to make headways for your future. Once again, a loving mother (Aquarius) who is in touch with Mother Nature, humble and grounded; she has some financial strength which she is willing to share along with her nurturing qualities. She could be a family member, a career woman or a benefactor. It is always difficult to view court carts as final outcome cards for the answer(s) they stand for are manifold and often the querent says ‘I wonder who she/he is?’ But sometimes people make an entry into our lives and change the whole picture and the way we have viewed a certain situation.
AnaCaro, I see you have a few issues around you going on and I would advise you not to be disheartened if you thought the so-called Outcome card was inconclusive. Usually we wish to see a decisive, life-changing outcome, but the queen of pentacles has many promises under her sleeves that you should have no reason to feel disheartened with her.
I hope all goes well for you and please do come back and tell us if this made any sense to you.
Blessings to you.
