I also read tarot and have tried to read to myself many times, but I wish I could have a second opinion. I never know if I am seeing what cards are showing when I read it thinking about my own issues.
Please help me to understand whats is going on on my carreer and jobs. I am an architect, I work in a small office and many projects and jobs that was supposed to be on are on hold. I need to know how things will unfold. If I should remain here and wait things to get better, if things will get better or quit.
My brother is an engineer and we have done a few jobs together, but also many things promise good deals for the future, but not for my immediate future. I might earn good money in those jobs in the future but it is a possibility. Not sure of how things will unfold also.
I am very full of energy and I love my job. I get very frutrated and anxious when I come to this waiting periods in my carreer. Sometimes it seems all I see in the horizon looks like gold but when I get my hands on it...it was only a fake yellow stone.
Of course I need money and it worries me to see things get darker as no jobs mean no payments. But it is not only that. Inside in my heart, I feel awful to see those wonderful promises turn into only waste of time and energy.
Well, I am very anxious that´s why all my tarot cards only are confusing me. I have been asking and reading it times and times again, and I know it is impossible to have a clue this way.
Please help me if you can.

I don’t know which country you are in Viv,  but the credit crunch is everywhere in the world affecting all of us. What makes you think if you quit this job, the next company you go to (I assume you are not self employed) is not already facing the same situation that is in a way restricting the whole world of late? I just wish you would calm down for a bit and take things in your stride.
Since you put it like a choice scenario in your current job/career situation, I am going to use The Choices spread with the Rider Waite deck.


Choice 1: If you remain within the present situation:


You: Eight of Wands. (this applies to you in both scenarios)
Fast, fast, fast and restlessness about you. You want results now; you want results yesterday. To me, just one look at this card makes me feel the very essence of your inner world. Whilst this card would mean fruition of one’s work, quick news coming your way, but in the You scenario, I feel it is your very restlessness as you stand in your current situation whether to stay or go.

For card: The Tower.
This tells me there are changes necessary in your current environment should you decide to stay. Drastic changes I might add; changes that will be required either at corporate level or within your frame of mind and working pattern. Changes that may be beyond your control but necessary to happen for the new birth to come through. These changes will be necessary to make your staying worth the while. It may not be easy to live with these changes, but they will be required should you wish to move forward. The changes that the Tower card heralds may seem daunting at first, but with someone of your energy as I read from your posting, you come across as someone who has the discipline to endure those changes.

Against card: Ten of Swords.
A man lying down with ten swords on his back, the sky is black but the sun will soon be rising in the distant horizon. The fact of the matter is that you know your current situation as you stand now. Can it get any worse than this? I believe not. The next step after this phase is only UP. This is the stage of completion, the end which denotes a beginning. Simply speaking, when you fall down, you will not stay down forever; you will get up and walk.

Outcome card: Three of Swords.
Things must be said and choices must be made. If you decide to stay, I suppose there will be parting of ways, breaking up of certain ties with people or even the cancellation of the temporary shelving of certain projects and ideas. The Tower looks like to be the precursor or the instigator of the Three of Swords as you can see. After making that drastic change, as a result, people may be leaving, or you might be leaving their working life. While I was looking at the Three of Swords, the word redundancies came to mind and I had to mention it as it came through.


Choice 2: If you decide to get up and leave.

For Card: The Chariot.
There looks like to be a struggle in your hands to guide yourself through in the new environment. You will need your skills of manoeuvrability to guide your horses (as seen in the picture) to reach your goal and destination. The outcome of this struggle will be totally dependent on you and your ability to face all obstacles ahead of you. Certainly a challenge ahead.


Against card: Seven of Wands.
Competition and stiff struggle will once again face you in the second scenario. It looks like you are fighting the obstacles all on your own, you holding one wand in both hands and the six against you. You may be wearing different shoes – symbolically -  to suit each challenge and to adapt to each situation on your own. But, with the Seven of Wands I always get the feeling the person fighting on his own has somehow got the upper hand over his opponents, as he is standing on a higher ground to the rest of them.

Outcome: Queen of Pentacles.
Either a female benefactor or a mother figure coming into your life to assist you and give you support and comfort to alleviate your difficulties and struggles. Or, you will be advised to take on board the qualities of this Queen by way of a humble, loving care, enjoying money for what money brings, but not be totally dependent and enslaved to the idea of wealth. I see this queen so humble in her wealth, that she is offering it lovingly to her loved ones. And, at the same time, she is a woman telling me that money can only buy things, but not bring about love and understanding.

I hope the above two scenarios gave you some insight Viv and OF COURSE in capitals, nothing is cast in stone. You have ultimate choice to choose and select your course of action. I would personally suggest that you take some time off and not be so hasty in your current state of panic.

Well, I loved your reading, very complete but the scenario seems even worse!

Sorry I didn't tell you I am in Brazil. I was born here and I live in São Paulo.

It is very wierd because things come to my hands as magic, I am asked to join jobs and as I say yes, in a few days everything change...they are all big stuff, commercial buildings, shopping malls...and then...things go wrong.

Now, in the office I work, I face  4 or 5 big jobs in hold that can re-start in any minute, but one month passed and nothing happend. I worry if the guy (Edson is his name)  who invited me to join his office will have money to pay me in the end of the month.

In other hand, my brother has a big realstate project in his hands that is holding for a positive answer from public administration services to begin the construction and I will have a lot of work coming from this...but it is on hold also and before this yes we can´t move one stone there.

I look at the cards and I see in my job all may remain the same for a while, I feel Edson is being like punished for his past actions or something like that and as long as he insist in doing the things in a wrong way he will remain waiting and so do I...adn I am very very anxious. You are right! And it is also because I can see where he is going wrong and I feel I am the one who has to clear things for him...but it is a horrible position! I am very sensitive, as you might be...I get things in the air and I am always the one who gets the bad part of speaking up what no one else is really wanting to see or hear. I am the one who has to shake others up to make them wake.

I see that my brother´s thing will be accepted but we really compete a lot in work and this is correct as you saw...he is the constructor engineer and I am the architect. He is 10 years older than me. In his head I should be a lamb living below his shadow. But it happens the work I do is supposed to please our clients right? I have to dazzle to assure the client he needs us! I do my best. It is natural. If my brother were reasonable we were supposed to work perfectly as a team and do wonderful things. But he gets jealous about what I do right and get any good remark, even earning much money from them than me, he shows to be irritaded. And if I do any wrong he is very cruel and dramatic in his comments. So it is stressful!

I think that queen you saw is me and the way I should behave to get along well with brother or probaly Esmeralda, a gipsy woman spirit who has been helping all my life. I am psychic. I can hear what she says and she is always telling me to feel confident that things will go as they have to and I will be in a safe place, working with both. I pray she is right.
